I realize the real action and drama is in the midfield
I wish they would offer an alternative film of the race to really appreciate and just focus on the racing that happens to become "Best of the Rest".

With Toto owning the management company handling him, I bet George will be in a Merc at the season opener in 2022. Wonder if it will be the primary car or the secondary? 
Yeah, I'm sure Bottas has already been looking for rides for next year.
One peculiar item that stuck out from this weekend... someone on the Sky team wondered aloud where Gasly's future would be and Jenson Button emphatically blurted out, "Not with Red Bull." Too bad no one asked Button the follow-up as to why he feels that way... but I'm sure Button has heard something in the garage area that led him to say that. Maybe the French Connection will be in effect and see that Gasly moves to Alpine when Alonso retires?
Like Karun mentioned on this morning's pre-race, when Kimi, Alonso, Vettel and Lewis all bow out, there's gonna be a massive shake-up in driver line-ups. Combine that with next year's car and more manufacturers wanting to go carbon-neutral? Yeah, the next few years is gonna be rrrrrrrrrreal interesting in F1.

IMO Kimi, Alonso, and Vettel all need to retire. Lewis too, but he's still performing at a very high level and not holding up spots for younger drivers like the other three.
As for moves, I'd wager
Pierre > Alpina
MSC Jr > Alfa Romeo
Bottas > Aston Martin
Russell > Mercedes
F2 winner > Williams
Ferrari program upstart > Whatever Mazepin Sr. decides to call Haas after he buys it off Gene.

If Lewis wins another championship, why would he retire? He seems to have no erosion of his abilities. The other way to think about it is that he could win one last championship and retire at the top. Competitive guys like him rarely think that way, since they always think they have another championship in them. Then they erode and have problems before retiring. Or maybe Mercedes could enter a car in NASCAR and Lewis could keep winning championships until he's 60 or so.
Bad wording on my part; I agree. I'm not a Merc fan (although I respect the hell out of Lewis both on and off the track) so watching this utter domination is just boring. At least Max/Red Bull isn't so far ahead of everyone else that it would give slightly more competition.
All F1 drivers want to drive for Ferrari at least once in their career. Despite the crazy inner-politics and the pressure of being a Ferrari driver, so many of the greats have gone there... even if it's just to check the box. Lewis has chatted with those folks before.
Ferrari is rumored to have a powerful engine for the '22 car and subsequent years... so it might not be a bad time to make the jump if you're Lewis.
And gee, something makes me think that regardless of their current driver lineup, the top brass at Ferrari would easily be able to find a place for Mr. Hamilton if he were to make himself available... which is why I believe he only did the one-year deal for '21. The man is keeping his options open.
