P2 in the race too, after dominating the first half of the race. His quali lap was really sweet, nothing lucky or flukey about it. Plus, yet another first time winner, way cool.
Personally, I'd select any race besides Monaco if I was only going to sit down and watch one F1 race each year.
Serena's checkered flag was sub-optimal. Too bad she doesn't have experience gripping onto something and swinging it.

I disagree, its my fav of the year. I'm from Indy originally, and love indy cars. Not a big F1 fan, but haven't missed this race in a decade or longer. I too was amazed how much Serena sucked at flagging, was also thinking how similar a tennis swing would be. Looked as if she was given instructions 10 seconds before end of race...
Love the history and tradition of Monaco and love the circuit, but it makes for horrible racing with current cars. Talk about a parade...ugh.
You are so right....Another example of why Qualifying is just as , or more important than the actual race day.
I do agree, a race where almost zero passes are expected is a bit odd...I think they should cut off at least 6 feet of those cars just for this race, lol

For all the street courses (Monaco, Baku and Singapore and maybe Sochi), they should have the entire track be a DRS zone = let the drivers use DRS anywhere, as long as they're within one second of who's ahead of them.

They should go back to these... at least for Monaco
If the budget was available, and cap wasn’t an issue (and the rules allowed), I’m pretty sure that at least the big three teams, and maybe a couple more, would build and race a chassis purpose built for Monaco.
I’d really like to see what they’d come up with and how it would compare with the cars designed for today’s high-speed circuits.
