The control cavity has been routed (apologies for the blurry pic). I'm using a single volume control and a mini toggle to switch between the Acousti-Phonic's mid/dark tone.

Another quick update... the neck ferrules and inserts have been drilled and fitted and I've routed the heel with a cove bit, ready to begin neck shaping tomorrow.

The radius and fret lines are done and I've made a start on carving the neck...

Almost.. I spend a few minutes on the stationary belt sander first, to roughly carve out the volute and heel, then the rest of the shaping is done by hand using the Shinto rasp pictured, followed by sandpaper.

Sweet. Carving a neck by hand is very relaxing. A bit more work, but always worth it.
