Frets annoy me

I can express myself better on a fretless than on a fretted. It´s more of personal feeling....

I fully support this comment. Fretless does have a much more expressive element to it.
And for those that like low action…..well…..you can drop the action even lower on a fretless.

One comment I wanted to make (and will continue to make) is for those that like playing finger style or with a pick should definitely give fretless a shot.
If you've ever had interest in trying an EUB or Upright, make sure you try fretless electric bass too.
If all you play is slap on your fretted basses, it's probably best to move on.

I love my fretless. I play it a lot - especially at church. I won't be selling my fretted anytime soon though. I like having the option of either with my pair of Roscoes.

Electric bass is good. Double bass is also good.

I personally think a medium-rare home-grilled Ribeye is good, but then again Lobster is also good, So are fresh Tomatoes, Corn-on the-Cob, Telecasters and old SGs, though noticabaly different in sonic character...

Don't limit yourself. A broad palette is a great thing.

What the heck, since we're posting pics, here's one of my favorites, I'm told it's probably the only fretless bass Ken Hoover ever made, and he gave it to me in 1992, as appreciation for a gift I gave him...

I love all my babies . . . but my fretted ones have seen very little action since I got my fretless a couple of years ago. Frets serve a purpose, but most of the time I'd rather go without.
