They vary, but I generally like them. Rarely get them, and what I bake is more stollen than fruitcake.

If you don't like them, there are food banks and food pantries and such like that would be happy if you donated them, rather than throwing them in the trash.

That's the exact stuff I was nomming on yesterday! Finished it up around 4:30 PM. hehe
Yep, I always grab up one around this time of year. Had a chunk Thursday, and it’s still as good as it was the first time I had a taste. The only fruit cake I liked better was my aunt’s homemade, but she’s been gone for a while now, and Claxton is on the same level.

I'm sure it's great as far as that type of fruitcake goes, but I just don't think I'd like all that candied fruit.

Claxton also makes a dark cake which I like as well. Since I only have a little fruit cake this time a year, I just pick up whichever Claxton cake my local grocer has on the shelf.
