Very cool! Nice job!
No tap dancing for me. All my changes are done via Unreal Book on the iPad when I pull up the song chart. Ez peeezy. :)

I had a look at Unreal Book on the app store. Very interesting. I love that it can be sync'd with multiple devices. That is way cool. How it sends midi to the FI I don't see though. Can you elaborate ? Thanks!

If it’s iOS, my guess would be a camera connection kit plugged into a Roland UM-One MK2 interface going into the FI. Or you could use a Bluetooth MIDI adapter such a the WIDI master.

Been really digging in on my Future Impact again setting up the patches I like so I can really take advantage of what it offers...LOVE the Random button on the editor, I can just random patches all day long!

I was browsing the user download database which I had fully downloaded a while back, but lots of new stuff has been added. Was hoping to get a fresh copy to start exploring, but I can't seem to figure out how to download patches without going one at a time...is there a better way? I'm sure it's right in front of my face, but I'm just not seeing a way. Any and all guidance is more than appreciated. @Quatschmacher any tricks?

There isn’t a way to download multiple patches. However, I created an extra upload which puts all of my patches in a single folder and I update it every time I add new patches and amend the date in the title accordingly. Simply sort the page by “last modified” order and my “collated” folder should appear at the top of the list. Given that most of the patches on there are mine at the moment, this is the quickest way.

When you pull up a chart you have to select the gear icon in the settings menu. A drop down menu will appear. Select the file/midi tab. Then enter the midi messages you want sent. There is a handy Decimal to hex converter you will need to use since its based on hex.

Of course you will need a midi connection from your iPad to your FI. The FI does not handle Bluetooth midi so you will need a camera connection kit with a midi interface as @Quatschmacher mentioned above.

This works amazing for live use. I used it for thousands of gigs flawlessly. I would use my bluetooth page turn pedal to turn a page on my chart and send another set of program changes if I needed different programs within one song or a medley of tunes. Awesomeness.

There is another program you can use in conjunction with unreal book to send midi messages to iOS programs on your iPad as well. I use a lot of virtual synths live on my iPad and would have Unreal Book change those programs too. The name of the program is called Midifire. It's a very powerful program and works seamlessly with Unreal book. Game changer. I've been using this live for a few years as well.

How about a midi sport uno? That is what I'm currently using for usb to midi when playing with the FI editor. In conjunction with the camer kit of course.

WIDI Master does look cool though. Not sure about the latency with ios and if that would be an issue.

Have you tried this? I seem to recall that it powered one of my MIDI Solutions boxes, but I could be wrong about that.
