Glad to hear somebody read my instructions and found them useful.Figured it out. The directions in the new user guide worked. I went for 3.03 to 04
So say there's only 45 or so presets I'd use. Can I just load a folder w those 1-45 and it'll only put those 45 on the fi? Or will it just leave the rest 46-99 the same as they were
lookin for tips or presets for this sound at 27:10 here. its my ulitmate mike sound
I don’t quite understand your question. Do you mean have the cutoff value oscillate quickly via an LFO? Do you mean modifying the envelope shape so a single trigger makes a kind of “bwap” sound?how would i add more envelope filter to a sound to make it more bubbly
Repeating the word "bubble" isn't helping to clarify what you mean to me. If you read the section of the manual on using the FI to replace single effects boxes, I wrote an easy tutorial on how to get envelope filter sounds out of the FI. Have a read through that and play around with those ideas.I mean kind of like in the c4 synth you can use the effects to make an envelope filter like a mutron etc... wondering what part of the editor controls that so I could take a preset and add some more bubble to it
Several parameters are involved here: cutoff, envelope depth, envelope follower (if you want it to have more dynamic control) and the A, D and S stages of the envelope shape.reading that now. what I mean is I want to take say preset 21 and add more envelope to it so it gives more of a bwap like it would if I took that sound and then routed it thru my ebs bass iq
Definitely go through the guide in the manual. You may be wanting to increase the resonance for more “bubble” or “quack”.reading that now. what I mean is I want to take say preset 21 and add more envelope to it so it gives more of a bwap like it would if I took that sound and then routed it thru my ebs bass iq
Do you mean something to switch presets? Any MIDI controller capable of sending MIDI PC messages over 5-pin MIDI DIN cable will work. I currently use a Morningstar MC8 but there are cheaper options out there. Morningstar do an MC-6 and MC-3. In conjunction with the FI, these controllers can do all sorts of cool stuff. I use mine to play 5-note chords on the FI.Question.
is there a pedal that I could use that's midi that has like 5 or so buttons and every button would be one sound from the FI?
I assume this is possible but am a midi noob. Does anyone have any reccomendations?
The Morningstar stuff can do that no problem. You could also do this on an iOS device using the free TouchOSC app.Yes but like have it so each button would be a preset for like the 5 I use the most not just go up and down
I’m pretty sure the larger DMC controllers can be configured this way. I have the DMC-8 and by default the Preset mode on that one makes 4 of the buttons into individual presets (A-D) with 2 buttons to scroll up/down to different banks with their own 4 presets. IIRC there is a mode that allows custom commands as well.Yes but like have it so each button would be a preset for like the 5 I use the most not just go up and down
Why is that? If it’s a range thing, there could be two reasons:I'm not wild about the FI MIDI filter sweeps.
