Future Impact now available!! WAS: deep impact reissue!!! interested?

That’s the spirit.
Well, I thought I figured it out, but I'm on Mac OS, and when I select the directory and ask it to Convert, nothing happens at all. I can convert them one at a time, but it's odd that the Convert All function does nothing, maybe I'm missing something but that's the only mention of it in the manual, as well.

If you search this thread for "convert" there is a conversation from a few months back suggesting the "Convert All" is not currently working right (or at least wasn't in May), but giving an alternative approach

This is correct. It’s fixed in a new Windows version that hasn’t been released yet. I wasn’t aware that it also broken in the Mac version. I’ll let Zsolt know.

Sounds like v3.5 patch 1, though hard to tell exactly. I shared my original version of this patch which has morphing on the mod wheel as opposed to on velocity so that you can dial in an exact amount.

I have to say I’m still loving this pedal everytime my band ads a new cover song, I know I’ve got the FI to do it. We’ve added Sledghammer by Peter Gabriel and there’s no need to ad an octave pedal to the board. Just used the editor to make a nice copy of the original sound in its own preset.

Also doing “Blinding Lights” by The Weekend and already had a perfect patch made from a Bruno Mars song we were already doing.

I like the idea of a FI compact enclosure but I get so much from FI that I don’t even care how much space it takes up. It’s the highlight of my board for this particular band. www.supafonics.com It saves me from mounting a lot of other pedals.

Any chance you still have - and would be willing to share! - that patch you used for Blinding Lights? We just threw that song into our repertoire.

Thanks!

I bought a Novation Launch Control XL3 to give me some NRPN knobs to control the FI4. Here's a link to my v1 (but working) template.

Obviously the FI4 has more controls than the XL3 has knobs, so this layout uses the top row of knobs to cover VCOs 1 & 2, the second row of knobs to control filters, the 4rd row for Env ADSR & Filter ADSR, the 4 left faders for portamento time, and various LFO depth controls, the right 4 faders for dry/wet mix and filter resonance and cutoff (duplicates the 2nd row of knobs), and the bottom row of buttons for various on/off of effects.

Will continue to mess with the layout and will update here

Very nice idea!

I don't think this is currently possible, but a (hopefully minor) change that would be amazing would be the ability to either set the pedal to take instrument OR MIDI note simultaneously (ideal), or to switch between using instrument or MIDI in with an NRPN.

Why? MIDI looping. I'd record the midi note in to Loopy Pro (or similar), then immediately send the midi note data back to the FI. Then using my LaunchControl XL I can change parameters on the fly.
