I had a conversation with Andras recently and at the end of that he asked me, a working bassist, what are some song examples of synth tone presets I would find usable as a starting point. It seems like the team is actively thinking of this type of thing. These are the songs I provided to him that I routinely play that would benefit from high quality user presets:Load it with usable classic bass synth presets, obfuscating the need for a computer, midi cable and synth programing, put a demo on YouTube like Ian Martin Allison did and the FI will outsell the MXR bass synth, which is already a synth pedal phenomenon!
Excellent list. I will buy the next version if the presets are updated with some or all of these bass synth examples.I had a conversation with Andras recently and at the end of that he asked me, a working bassist, what are some song examples of synth tone presets I would find usable as a starting point. I would love to be able to easily download patches for many of these songs. I have to admit, though, that I am a bit of a MIDIot.I had a conversation with Andras recently and at the end of that he asked me, a working bassist, what are some song examples of synth tone presets I would find usable as a starting point. I was all excited to hear something - and all I saw was you wiggling your knobsFor anyone interested, recorded a video comparing the hardware of both V1 and V4 VIP versions.
Other than the housing size, broader parameter range, much sturdier and accurate knobs.
110% worth the upgrade if you are on the fence.

Lol sorry for blueballing. Give me the weekendI was all excited to hear something - and all I saw was you wiggling your knobs
I watched him demo them on his YT but I haven't paid for the pack yet to test them...Has anybody here tried the preset pack from "The Bass Negus"? It's on his Patreon:

Just wondering if it might be worth it...
Not to do anyone out of income, but I am a bit put out by this as the whole ethos of this pedal is that of free updates and free patch sharing.Has anybody here tried the preset pack from "The Bass Negus"? It's on his Patreon:

That's great, really looking forward to that. I wanted to make all my own sounds but I just don't have time these days. Not to do anyone out of income, but I am a bit put out by this as the whole ethos of this pedal is that of free updates and free patch sharing.
Also, some of the classic sounds he’s selling are ones that will be available for free as part of the factory sounds of the next update. I’ve programmed a couple of the MJ patches already using Anthony Marinelli’s tutorial videos and sent them to the team. Andras has also cracked “Pony” with some very clever programming.
If not officially, then I could easily do that as it’s just a case of copying settings between the two editors. Don’t even need the pedal to do that. I will ask Andras if this could be automated though (I’m sure a script could be run to convert the files the other way (most parameters are identical but there are a few changes between versions).will you be releasing the sounds for v3 users as well?
It’s not within my remit to say when it will be ready, I’m afraid. That's great, really looking forward to that. I wanted to make all my own sounds but I just don't have time these days.
Do you have a rough idea when this update might be released?
his massively long videos are enough to make me want to learn to programme a synth from my base level of ignorance rather than send my money his way!!Has anybody here tried the preset pack from "The Bass Negus"? It's on his Patreon:
