What strings do you folks use on your L2000?
I just put a set of Infeld Superalloys on mine and I'm really digging them. They sound like broken-in rounds right out of the package. Nice round tone with growly mids and a sweet top, not harsh at all.

Used to be that SIT Powerwound nickel rounds were stock, and those are nice enough.
Now DA XL170 nickel rounds are stock and I like those better. They seem to last longer, are full, and have nice top end.
I don't like LaBella flats on G&L's (though I like them on a stock Fender P); but my last 1985 L2000 came with DA Chromes on it, and I really did like those.

don't have time to post right now, but, we have several "twins" in common.......
I love the blueburst! How are you liking your tribute? I'll have to post pics of my new tribute tonight. Picked up NYCbass' Natural and Rosewood tribute from the classifieds. I've missed my old transparent red 3 bolt L2000 ever since I stupidly sold it years ago. The tribute is much lighter though, and still has that sound I remember.

TWINS(kinda, sorta)!!! I only have action shots (so to speak) of this bass, because I'm always playing it.
