Glad that helped;)

If balance isn't what you want yet, don't be afraid to lower the P pup a bit; it's stout and has more than enough output to deliver like that.

Great color on your SB!

Hey, you guys with the G&L JB or JB-2 have any of you tried flats on one and if so what did you think..Trying to get a little warmer sound, I know I could just adjust the tone but wondering what flats would sound like...Thanks

Outstanding CL deal IMHO, hundreds less than what it's worth.

I'm fully stocked in basses or I wouild jump on this. no affiliation.
hot damn, that's a great deal and not that far away from me really. Not going to happen, I'm also flush with basses and babies at the moment

I've been running D'addario chromes on mine for a few months. They sound wonderful to me.

Yamark - is that what G&L calls "Himalayan Blue" on your SB-2? It is a beauty!

The SB-2000 with series/parallel switch modded so that ALL four coils run in series (hubba hubba)

And I would like a clumber (club number new lingo you're welcome) but I understand I might have to read every club post first post first which I plan to anyway now that I am weaning myself from the TB Classifieds.

Very cool. Any chance you could post some sound clips?

Also, I'm curious - did you experiment with orienting either or both pickups so that the coil for the D&G strings was closer to the neck than the E&A coil?
Clips:
I am too OCD to have ever attempted sound clips but once I get past this push in summer production I will do so.

I received this bass as a SB-2 earlier style that had been routed for Alembics originally I planned on P HB but then when it became apparent that PP is the way to be I didn't want to remove more wood for the inversion experiment. I used to have a Junk body that I had routed everywhere between the neck and the bridge but once I built the Peavey T-2000 (t-45 w HB in L-2000 placement) I ditched it but I think I'm going to build one of these when time permits. (the one on the left.

I saw the G&L paddle in a factory tour video but this is a much better picture.

How do I get a number. Got my L2K a fews months ago and I love it! I would add a pic of it but it keeps telling me the file size is too big.

Numbers haven't been tracked in ages, but welcome to the club anyway! G&L's simply rule. We don't need no stinkin' numbers.

The best way to load pics is to use a pic host like Photobucket. Upload your pics there, and then use the photo url button to link to them. You can put up significantly larger photos that way rather than loading them through TB directly.

I am playing with the idea of getting hold of a L1505 and adding a second MFD pickup in the neck position, in order to basically turn it into a L2500 with pickups in the same position as a HH stingray...

Of course, I could just get a Stingray 5HH, but there is something about those MFD's and the other electronics in the G&L's which really feel perfectly "right" to me...
