L2000, currently, are dual series and dual parallel.
L1000 is dual parallel, single coil, single coil with bass boost.

I must have reactive sweat because mine will fog no matter what. Regardless i am not about to baby it. Its a workhorse and will be treated as such.

My '78 PBass (Black) fogs up in warm & humid environments. The G&L finishes (mine are from 2005 & 2010) are really solid - no fogging there!

The very early G&L's were nitro, and prone to that sort of thing.

A good investment bass is one that has a low risk of dropping in price.
With G&L's, that means brand new ones aren't candidates.
That doesn't mean buying a G&L Legacy or other models can't be good investments - a 30% profit is a 30% profit - whether that means you're investing in basses, Savings Bonds, or stocks. And that is regardless of whether you have to "do it over and over".
24 months ago you would see sales under $500 for US G&L's. Not a lot, but they were out there. Buy one for $400 when you can find them, and sell them for $640. Good investment. Buy one for $800 and you may have to wait a while.
If your idea is "buy the one I love now and hold on to it as an investement" - you might be going about it the wrong way. If you want a Legacy Bass or LB-100 - but it. But if you pay $400 for one you've made a better investment choice than if you pay $700.
I thought it interesting a while back when the bass player for INXS was selling his Fender Precisions through Gruhn while keeping his LB-100s. Buy it and keep it if you like it, but if you want to get more than your money back - shop harder and more often to get a cheaper one in good shape whereever you can.
The other benefit is when you buy them cheap you don't mind as much having to sell them to make your next GAS payment, since you'll be making money and not losing it.

Do that every day.
When you see a deal don't think - buy immediately.
Two nights ago were not one but two G&L L-1000's, 1981, for $599.
Those, my friend, are good investments.

I just saw a "Stealth" satin-flat black G&L SB-2 with matching Satin-flat black headstock and tort pick guard being sold new by a G&L Dealer online.
I had never noticed that G&L had offered a "Stealth" Satin black finish?
Could this be something they did in factory?
Or for sure would it have to be an after market?
Did not notice if the hardware was all blacked out or not?

Can you tell me what finish this is? It's beautiful. I'm aboiut to order an L2500 and would like the exact same finish.

Maybe it's the angle of the photograph, but it looks browner to me than the all the sunburst finishes on the G&L website. Those finishes look to me to have a lot of yellow and/or red in them. This one does not. It's exactly what I'm looking for....

My G&L L-1000.....had a few modifications when I bought it, and I like them so I left them. Love this bass. Been my #1 for almost a year now.
Already have a number, just had never shown a pic.
