The LB-100 sounds too good
Great cover! your other videos on the LB100 fullerton deluxe are what got me to pull the trigger on one a few months ago

It is the best p bass I have ever played! Probably the first bass I have owned where I dont want to change pickups. The neck is to die for.Nice! How are you liking the bass so far?

Updated pic of my LBs. Best P Basses ever and I've owned many! Recently gigged with the red one and it was an absolute joy to play.
Here is a clip from that gig. I'm also running a Fwonkbeta envelope filter on this tune although it's hard to make out. It was our first gig ever so please don't judge lol

That gig was a last minute invite since a band had cancelled. We had literally played together 5 times before that and got the invite at practice 2 days before and were like "what the hell, let's do it!"
No future gigs on the books but plan is to record a 5 song EP in February then start booking shows. Material is a mix of obscure 70s and modern funk and original material. We may add a horn in the future.

SB-2 modification. I used a Fender S-1 pushbutton/Volume control to control the Neck volume and put in series/parallel mode at push of button on the volume knob and a 250k/500k concentric pot for the Bridge Volume and 500k with .022uf Sozo cap for Tone. I now can tell you exactly what the tone sounds like in Series mode. It sounds like the Neck at full and the bridge at 75 percent and TOTALLY QUIET and a some kickbutt output that is probably 30 percent greater. In parallel mode it is a little lower output and hum is there unless below 75 percent. Except I now have tone control that is very slow rolloff (quite controllable with 500k pot and .022uf cap)
Unlike Fender Jazz pickups when you put them in series they are louder but darker while these sound pretty darn close to parallel tone but a little balsier

Nice to hear. I'd have expected it might just be too thick.
My El-Toro in series is just so dark but they also have a cap draining off some of the highs in that mode which I might remove.
Time for "SB2 Thunderdome" (you know: 2 basses enter, 1 bass leaves). I want to add a JB2 and an SB2 to what I have and found these two SB2s that were close enough to my wants/needs to bring them in for a tryout. Both 3-bolt, satin neck, and reasonable weight (9lbs 3/8oz for the blueburst, 9lbs 3-7/8oz for the vintage white). The blueburst has a bunch more wear, I've got a new black pickguard on order to replace the broken one. The vintage white only has a few scuffs on the end of the headstock and the knobs are chewed up a bit, but I have plenty of G&L knobs having updated a lot of SB2s over the years. It just remains to be seen if either/both have necks that agree with me . . . hopefully at least one does. If the vintage white stays it's getting a different pickguard.
