Loving this fretless JB 5 but damn fretless is hard to play in tune. It's definitely going to take some time to adjust. I spent the weekend learning diamonds on the soles of her shoes and it just sounds so beautiful on this bass. Initially put on a set of chromes but Jesus the tension was ridiculous and they didn't sound like I wanted. Switched to Ernie ball cobalt flats and boom! The tone and feel I was looking for.

I put the tip covers on my tribute. They seemed to work fine.
Chromes seem a bit stiffer, feature more high mids and a bit less upper mids/treble than Cobalts, IMO. I'm not sure how Cobalt flats age as I didn't keep them, but Chromes mellow nicely and keep an articulate midrange as they break in.
As far as I am aware, currently only CLF and Custom Shop, no option order. But I'm not 100% on that.
The chromes were much stiffer & they also just sounded kind of dead. The cobalt flats have a little more flexibility IMO & are much brighter. Not like a roundwound, but bright & lively & made the fretless have more of that singing quality to it.

It looks like they're $5.95 for a set of 6 tips (2 of each colour), however the postage they're quoting to the U.K. is $73.52 !!!
I think they're the same sort of tips that they fit on the mini toggle switches for model railways so I think I will pursue that route. I've seen a multicoloured set of 20 tips for £2.95

It was previously $50 for shipping but $73 is just taking the mick.
In reality, their postal charges are probably in relation to basses and guitars, and not things like these switch tips which would fit in an envelope.
I think if I contacted them by email they may possibly offer a cheap solution.

The best way to resolve that is to buy these things, send them to a person on the board who can then send them to you for a reasonable price.

Yeah, I had a weird similar experience. Was going to buy a $6 cable end from an acquaintance in Germany, just because he was an acquaintance, not because it was a very special deal. DHL quoted me $116 to ship it. Needless to say it didn't happen. I think we're missing something in this international shipping paradigm. Thomann sure doesn't spend that kind of money!
Sorry, didn't realise you lived here too. I was going to order a set of the G&L lightweight tuners a few months ago that seemed reasonably priced until I saw the postage costs. Amazing they are quoting the same price for a handful of plastic tips that would only cost a few dollars to drop in a Jiffy bag and send by regular airmail.
Don't forget to let us know how the model railway tips work out.
