I'm sure this has been asked before, but is there a way to get a build sheet for a G&L bass? I have the serial number, but would like to know if there is anything special about it before I decide to pass on it. Thanks.

I placed my order through Sweetwater on March 9th. I was originally quoted a 6 month wait time, and on the 9th of this month I called them and asked what's going on with it. Their inventory people told the sales person I spoke with that they now expect it in the first week of October, which will be just short of 7 months.

Thanks for the response! I was already expecting 6 months-ish but did not have any actual data to look at. Managed to keep myself from getting antsy through most of that, but now it's starting to itch!

Was hoping not to have to pay for it, as I may not buy this bass. It seemed really light. I think it might be an empress body, but not sure. Being that it has a green metallic body, I can't get a good look at the wood.

FWIW.... I have never had an alder body JB weigh less than 9LBS..( Fender & G&L ).. I have three G&L JB4s and they are 9.0 , 9.5 ,10.0 . My Fender JB 74-75 was 9.75 as was my 2003 Geddy Japan. My alder SB2T weighs in at 9.0.

FWIW.... I have never had an alder body JB weigh less than 9LBS..( Fender & G&L ).. I have three G&L JB4s and they are 9.0 , 9.5 ,10.0 . My Fender JB 74-75 was 9.75 as was my 2003 Geddy Japan. My alder SB2T weighs in at 9.0.

This one is a Kiloton, but it is very noticeably lighter than my JB. My JB is about 9.6lbs, I think. Guessing it is empress, but would like to know for sure. They had a Tribute JB there that felt like 10lbs in comparison (and might have been). Would a standard Fullerton Kiloton be that much lighter than my JB or a Tribute JB? While the finish was interesting (a link was posted on here the other day), it wouldn't be my first choice of colors, but it is different than my other basses.

For those that have/had both, would you be willing to compare/contrast the LB-100 with a Fallout Bass tone-wise? Playability? I've got a USA LB-100 that I love. Looking at a Tribute Fallout to try as a short-scale. Thx.

Here's two kilotons.
The one on the left is Alder and just a little heavier than the one on the right, which is pine. My Empress JBs are way lighter.
I have no scale measurements, sorry.

Incorrect- that particular body, color and RW neck run of Kilotons is sugar pine. While that's an interesting combination all of the CLF Kilotons on the Registry are alder or swamp ash which is the norm although the green one could of been custom ordered with any wood. There's an alder one in metallic blue on Reverb right now. IME all G&L metallics look killer.
