Man I watched a Kiloton on Reverb for months with Andromeda, but passed on it. If they'd mentioned the finish does that I probably would have gotten it.It has a flake in it that appears white to slightly silver viewed straight on. At an angle, it changes color. Hard to photograph, but it looks great under stage lights.
Several manufacturers have done variations of the black sparkle finish. They never seem to sell well, but in the right lighting they look fantastic. I think part of the sales issue is that internet photos and/or music store lighting are not where these types of finishes really shine.
Wow, I contacted Memo about this issue on my Kiloton. His response was basically "buy a new tuner from our website". Maybe because I mentioned I wasn't the original owner?
Love the block inlays on the fingerboard, too. Rosewood? It fits the Andromeda finish nicely. I should have gotten those on mine. You have a great looking L2K.

Great choice with the ebony. That really is an awesome looking bass.It has an ebony fretboard, but it looks a but washed out because I took pics in the sunlight to get the finish to sparkle. Here's a pic next to my M2K which has a rosewood board.
When light isn't shining on it, it looks like the little white stars in photographs. The bottom pic is not directly in the sun. It's actually multicolored glitter over a black background. It looks better to the eye in person IMO View attachment 5042374 View attachment 5042375

I don't know if there are numbers, I never got one. Not sure it matters, just show us the G&L goodness.
How old is the bass? I don't think G&L cares for ownership transfer. It is more related to how long the bass was manufactured.
I had to buy new ultralight tuners for my 2011 L2K, but before that, they send me a new replacement neck for a 2020 L2K tribute at no cost.
G&L and Memo's customer service is fantastic and rare to see nowadays.
Looks like she is finally done. Hopefully here by the weekendI will definitely post pics

19 months. Had to wait for the right piece of wood though.Congrats! What was the wait time for yours?
Andromeda is an awesome finish. Played a Doheny with it. Super cool. Some pics of my L2K. People that have the Andromeda finish know it's difficult to get a lifelike photo of it. Love this bass View attachment 5042048 View attachment 5042049 View attachment 5042050 View attachment 5042051
