Of course, if you read this thread long enough, you'll hear from several owners who don't feel that missing the screw made any difference in tone or performance. I dunno…

I've heard/read the same thing. Mine was missing it, and after some searching I was able to locate a used bridge that had both the set screw and the plastic 'plug' (for lack of a better term) that went under the set screw. Got it all into mine, and... well... not sure how much difference it made. Nothing that I can hear at least.

I feel that it did make a small difference in the sound, to the point that I removed the screw on all my Gl basses.

Do these CLF L-series basses have the "single coil" mod like my old "BABE" edition had?

I just remembered that I loosened the set screw when I had roundwounds on my basses.
When I put a set of Labella low tension flats on my JB2, I tightened the screw back, and think it helps clarify the sound a bit.

I have some labella flats on my G&L... the scew would likely tighten it up a little.

After looking for an used M-2000 for several years with no luck (lefty) I finally pulled the trigger on a BTO.
While they where always available to order, there are no records any sold or even images online so I suspect this is gonna be the very first lefty ever built.
Dealer said 2 months to get it completed that is ridiculously fast but let's see!

Wow, shockingly reasonable considering those autumnglo deals with checkerboard binding were closer to $3,000.

Emerald green metallic, ebony fingerboard, alder body, maple neck 1.5" nut ,8 radius according to them as I asked if was possible to do it closer to the old ones.
