for the L2000
i use a fuzzrocious rat tail with a clean blend and a feedback loop set to no diodes as more of an extreme drive
the fuzzrocous dark driving is great too if you find the rat tail too out of control
the moog delay is great too if you really want to keep the character of your bass and amp and just boost your signal to overdrive your amp

I totally don't want to step in anything by posting this here, but I thought you may dig it. We're going to be cutting demos and stuff in a new studio named Live! At Leo's here at the G&L factory. Here's a teaser with an L-2000 through a BBE BMAX-T DI out:

The plan is to hit several fretted models then do some fretless before going back for the remainder of the models. At that point, we'd like to do some comparo vids something like Ed did with the L and M.
Hello! I would also love to see fretless demos, especially M and L series. Any possibilities of fretless Tribs? Would be so cool!

I had a few made in the late '90s for UK at artist Cass Lewis. They were really neck divey but he didn't care; he wanted the L-2500 tone in the ASAT shape. With a JB-5 headstock it may be slightly worse.
Think people would go for it?

There's a few people that have asked about a 5-string ASAT before. I'd like to see the option of a 4+1 headstock available on all the other 5-stringers that G&L make. I'd also like to see the L-1000 added back into the lineup along with the L-1005.
We aren't planning on doing Tribute demos unless it's something substantially different than made-in-Fullerton versions. That said, we may do some Tribute fretless in special run form, meaning we pick a model/color, do a run then move on to something else. We haven't been getting much in the way of dealer requests for Tribute fretless models, and while I understand that we can't rely on that to decide where we want to go, we are listening.
I remember an ASAT Strap Extender which I belive was basically a replacement 3-bolt neck plate with an arm extending out which holds the strap button. I can't use that with 6-bolt sans-plate setup. Have you seen something else out there?
Ron here wants the wunkay and wunkay5 to be in the line. Haven't thought about the headstock as we dig the 3+2 on a modern 5er. I insisted on the 4+1 for the JB-5; really had to be that way.
it really isn't an issue for me personally, but I know some are more neck dive conscious that I, why can't g&l just sell an extender as an option on an asat5?
I personally wouldn't buy a 3 bolt neck, I love the 6 bolt ones!
