NBD! Picked up my new (to me) L2500 Blackburst yesterday. I've been playing my L2000 with a Hipshot extender, but in my current band we frequently transpose on the fly to accommodate our vocalist. I needed (wanted) a 5. (Yes, I already have one, but...) I bought it on "Reverb". I was negotiating on a couple basses online and this one was a local pickup, so that gave me a bit of leverage. I did forget to ask something important, though...
Blackburst ash, wood "binding", quarter-sawn neck w/maple.

I still love it, though, and will try to live with its obesity...

Both of those L's are really nice looking. Love the binding on the bodies.

used the imac, apogee jam, and the 94 LB100 to record today
the month old ti flats sure are growly and sizzly compared to the almost dead dunlop nickels and almost dead hi beams i usually use
it was really fun to try something new and not have that super dark tone i always used with the 83 L2k

No arm rest contour... like my '97 L2500 Custom.
An option (with the black binding), not an issue

It will arrive this week, Although sometimes I like contoured bodies....I'm an absolutely sucker for binding !

Wow! You did the right thing by ordering a pair. I ordered a custom Nordstrand Fat Stack as a noiseless bridge pickup for my Tribute SB-2 and it didn't work at all with the MFD split-coil.

I don't know actually, they made it for me last year when my 94 neck needed replaced

Sizzly and growly are not words I would pair with TI Jazz Flats. I'm curious, what did you do EQ-wise?

Treble knob at 7.5
Tone knob at 8 on LB100
