You can use a (Klark) DI box to deal with the mixer impedance gap.

Or a Radial, or a Countryman, or a BSS, or Avalon, or (my personal favorites) an Aguilar DB900 or Manley Tube DI or Phil Jones Bass Buddy, or any other active, high-impedance DI. Or just switch to active, as Showdown said.

Or just flip the switch on your G&L to Active.

My M2500 = no switch, active only. I use a Behringer DI-100 with my other (Fender) passive basses.

I tend to use my ART Tube PAC for that. Nice to have that little tube smoothness and sometimes the compressor limiter

After my Carvin PJ ended up with too much hum, even from the P soloed I'm looking towards the LB-100 with a 6 or 8 neck. I'm going to get to try a ASAT with a 6 & LB-100 with a 8 coming up... both maple boards

I had a 2014 MIA J but it was NOT aggressive enough with the jazz midscoop & rosewood for alternative, punk & 90s rock. Every P I get I love tone wise but the neck doesn't work so G&L or Lakland Duck Dunn is up next

Maple neck, what a big difference vs Eds rosewood. Much more bite with the maple, I dig it

Congratulations ! you've got a matter of pride there.
I like the way the 3+2 head has been designed, compared to the 4 in line, especially for the little horn.

Oh I dont blame you but its the only maple video I've found. I'm VERY familiar with Eds... thats for sure. He clearly loves it far better than the Carvin

Yep, they are both clear red. The L2000 is a slightly different shade but they are both over ash so they look great in bright light.

This mashup is great. In the mix 99% of your crowd would never know the difference between these... but the G&L is USA made customizable for $1100? Trying one a few hours

I've seen this picture before but I never get tired of looking at it! The first time I saw a picture of the OSTS was on a G&L Legacy with the same combination you have, except it had cream colored pups. It was one of the nicest looking guitars I've ever seen. Congrats on such a beautiful bass. I couldn't be happier with mine!

Just as I thought I am content... the local board has a 1983 Hog Wunkay at a price I can afford... Maple neck, just need to confirm it's chunky enough and it's gonna be mine. This has been the dream bass for me long enough.

Chunky? Not really.
1 3/4" wide, yes, but, a very nice shallow C contour. I'd hardly call it chunky like say, a 1957 Fender P reissue.....
