G&L Club Part 7

Ampeg might be there...I'm friends with the guys over there even though I endorse another brand.

GK of course will have the new rig there for people to check out for sure.

@armyadarkness I think you should make the trip North for this one...

we were trying to avoid this.....

I absolutely will! Will there be periodic updates as it draws near, or should I just buy my Tic and plug it into google calendar?
There will be updates on some vendors BUT I spoke to AJ yesterday (The proprietor of Wingbass and He confirmed it).
So yes mark it off in your calendar.

Hmmm, perhaps I could attend as a mascot of some sort? I have no chops to speak of, having only returned to music recently and relatively late in life, with a crazy job and young kids to keep me from committing to it the way I'd like.

But I have some nice gear to share, especially for fellow lefties.
Wait, we have to have chops, can't have a job or kids? Well, crap on a stick... I guess I'm out :(

Its more of hang, with nice gear, food, good company and maybe a short clinic or 2.

But seriously, am I the only one that likes the smell of new G&L's? Or does anyone else even notice it?
The LB-100 I borrowed last summer still had that smell despite being several years old. Because it was a loaner, I kept it in the case. Loved it every time I opened it.

My new one, however, went straight onto the wall, and the case straight to the basement. So I don't get the blast I would get if taking it out of the case. I should break out the case just for fun.

Oh no. Sorry for getting some my self-consciousness on you. I didn't realize it was contagious.

Seriously, though, my last "gig" was in junior high, and was on saxophone. I've played with other people once in the past 20 years. I love music, and I love gear because I'm a geek. But beyond that, my playing is simply a tool I used to keep myself sane--a way to relax that doesn't involve a TV or computer screen. I never intended to subject any other humans to it! Or at least not until I could achieve some passable level of skill :)

Dude, no worries! Just show up and have some fun, there's not going to be any difference between being there and being here on TB ... except, apparently, for you two freaks (you and @armyadarkness ) who will, seemingly, be walking around smelling people's cases....

There is no better way to improve your playing skills than climbing on a stage with other musicians and playing for other people.
