No, they are a little "wider" sounding, as the second coil and magnets still have an effect.
The magnet size strength and type differ from the current crop of bridge singles.
They are the same as the ones used in the Lynx bass. (IIRC)

The big singles are more warm and don't sparkle as much as the MFD design.

Hey fine people, I just came across this for sale locally. 1992 G&L in what is described as "Great condition." He wants $500, does this sound to good to be true? Or is it what the market bears fore these instruments? Provided everything works of course.

I'd drop $500 on that in a heartbeat if the neck was good.
I doubt there were tribs in 92 were there? $5oo is good if the neck is good... G&L doesn't get Fender money, but $500 is "Fishy" low to me.
I've seen US L2ks go for that from time to time. In fact, I paid $500 for this one (and it's US)...
You guys would know better than me. I sold two SB's that I built and I was lucky to get a lot for them. I'm always shocked how many of you have vintage models.
