I'd check to make sure the knob is evenly in place, on the pot shaft... if it's skewed, it may be catching on the lock nut, on top of the control panel.

I will check later. I gouged the dang plate really bad so I swapped it out with another I had.
I'm really happy with the gear I have, do not need more than I have already, and I honestly don't have any real GAS pains. But, but if G&L were to start making a 5-string SB2, that could change quickly.
Yes! Same exact situation here. I'd love to see an SB-25, and could envision replacing my SB-2 and JB-5 with one. Or maybe just the JB-5...or not...

Mine would most likely be a dark, dark blue maybe the blueburst?? G&L used to have a lovely cobalt blue. Maple fingerboard, tort pickgaurd...I don't know if I would get the tone knob or not? I never use them or rarely anyway.

I took the control plate off and remove each of the pots to see if I had anything obstructing the turn of the pots. Unfortunately, nothing fixed the issue. I'm assuming it is a defective pot. I'm considering buying a new wiring harness. I'm not sure what to get. Something simple would be nice.
I love the sound of this bass, fret rattle and all. One man's junk is another man's treasure and all!
It brings me to something however - my 2 mid 90s L2000 basses sound nothing like this bass in parallel\HB mode. I realise the intention of this clip is to show off K mode but it does have some HB\parallel mode playing.
My 2 basses sound alike, but compared to this clip even straight into a desk (with the same strings) sound dull and don't have that nice high mid burp - even with brand new bright nickel strings and very low action.
I don't own a REDDI or an 1176,I but I'm interested the tone knobs were set for this clip in relation to the resulting tone.
