My Rocket Music LB100 last night on my gig....thumpin with LaBella 760FLs.
My main basses are 5 strings so I understand, but I do love the feel of a slim 4 string neck, I haven't played a Kiloton yet, but if I could get one with a slim 1 1/2" neck like a Fender Jazz...
the church I play in currently changes keys for the tunes like the wind changing direction, playing a 5 helps cope with that allot.
I had the privilege to partake in one of Davie504's videos (hardest bass riff ever) and people wanted me to extend it into a song. It came out OK and since it features my G&L L2000 i thought I would post it here. So this is it:

Nooo! Don't do that! There is a tutorial for that riff on my channel if you are interested. It's not even that hard. All in muscle memory. When compared with the other "hardest bass riff ever" submissions, my noodle was child's play
that noodle was IMPRESSIVE lol and I'll def check it out !

Hey fellow G&L lovers!!!! Due to a neck surgery I had in August, and an unforeseen 6 day hospital stay recently, my Dr bills are piling up, and the only way I can pay for them is selling gear. That being said, next week sometime, I will be posting several KILLER G&L basses I have, including and older L2000 HOG, a very sweet M2500, a 90's L2000, and maybe more. Be on the lookout. I would love to see them go to a good home. I haven't been able to play this year due to the neck injury I had, but I sure will miss these babies when they go.
Do what you need to to take care of yourself. There are lots of cool things to do besides bass. If I wasn't waiting on a custom order, I'd be watching for your 5 string.

warmth: I understand - took me a while to get used to the different tones from the MFD pickup and the different controls.
I generally run the volume pot only to about 70%, any more seems to really saturate the input of the amp.
I strung mine with flats, DR Legends specifically, to take some edge off as well. It can still get plenty punchy when needed.
Lastly I play in passive mode allot when I want warmth and roll back on the treble about 1/2 way.
If I'm looking for old school thump I'll play up near the neck too.
