What is the width of the nut on a Tribute LB100?
It's not listed on their site.
I'm looking for a 70's P style neck which would be chunky and sometimes called baseball bat shape.
Something like .820" deep at the first fret.
From what I was able to find, here are the specs for an LB100 Tribute.View attachment 3596720
Educated guess here, since I don't actually own one (yet). The Fullerton Standard LB-100 has a C neck with 1-5/8" nut. If you poke around on Reverb you'll find listings for new Tribute LB-100s that have the same neck. I'd assume this is correct. From the G&L site:
"1 5/8" Medium C 1 5/8" nut width sits right between the traditional P and J bass widths, and Leo offered this nut width in the '80s. Generous edge roll with a medium depth and taper from 0.820" at 1st fret to 0.940" at 12th fret."

Beautiful! And I like that figuring on the fingerboard and head stock, too. That adds a nice, subtle touch.Arrived yesterday, via @SLaPiNFuNK, @ Fretnation...

That was taken from the GC listing on their website for the bass. I had seen Pitbull list a C profile 1 & 5/8th nut in their listing.
Thanks John; I will call; very cool of them to do this.Pitbull will weigh any bass they have in stock, if you call them.

Uh oh. Problem with my new tribby JB. With the volume off on both pickups I still hear sound coming from the neck pickup. It's not completely off. That's a problem. Is the only fix a new pot?
Thank you for this. I had taken the control plate off earlier, I wonder if I could have something blocking it.It's the first place I'd check... possibly, the wiper is not completing it's full travel?
