Beautiful work, Iv@n. Congrats! I always love to hear you play.
While I understand that this is not a review of the bass, I just want to tell you that you are my favorite reviewer of basses. First of all, you actually play the money or low notes on the bass, not just up high on the neck in your reviews. (So many reviewers play fast and up in the solo part of the bass, it's like they are showing off as opposed to showing off the bass). The way you do it allows us to actually hear how the bass will sound, doing what it was designed to do and what it will do in most of our hands. You use a touch that doesn't make the strings clang against the frets, we can actually hear the tone and not the string noise, as most reviewers do. The talking is at a minimum, the important stuff is said, but not more. And you put the bass through all the different combinations of sounds it can offer. You put the bass ahead of your ego and really showcase it.
I hope you continue to review basses. And I hope G&L is intelligent enough to hire you more often.
John
