While we're on the subject, I had an old Squire P-Bass with the conductive paint shielding, and I was able to measure it with a meter. My Tribute L-2500 had what looked like residue of conductive paint in some corners, but could not measure it with the leads right next to each other.

And thanks for correcting me, more importantly. I swear I tried to run a conductivity test between dried paint in a cavity and anything else with no conductivity resulting... but that was years ago, and my memory is cloudy at best.

I tried between all the pot bodies on my M2500 and in the cavity itself. No continuity anywhere. Copper tape fixed all that.

Hi, has anybody got a gut shot of underneath the pickups and in the pickup cavity of a US L2500?

My Tribby was having problems with a weird high frequency coming through, and it ended up being from the springs on the back of the pickups. I put some packing foam between the spring and the pickup and the noise dissapeared.
Apparently the US versions don't even have springs, so I'd like to see some pics so I can try and copy their method, as it's always on my mind that my foam could easily dislodge.

US Versions have springs. At least mine did before I pulled them and put "pickup" foam in.

I had to pass on this one with roasted maple because the price is a bit too high for me, what with the current situation, but I wouldn't mind if a UPS truck pulled up tomorrow and dropped it off!

Well, I sold my SB-2 shortly after buying my L2000 and still regret it nearly three years later, so I'd say keep it.

Yes. I've always liked the look of the mirror pickguards on the Japanese basses and saw that particular shape on this one.
