I've seen and really appreciate the visual comparisons of pickup placement on various G&L basses. Very helpful.
Has anyone ever done a comparison of body shapes and sizes? I think that the SB/Kiloton body shape is probably the smallest and lightest (short of the the Fallout), and the JB and ASATs are unique. But are all Ms and Ls the same? Is the JB-2 an M body? Are pick guard models different yet again?

L, M, and JB-2 bodies are the same. SB and Kiloton are the same. LB, ASAT, and JB are unique, Fender-like.

Love the G&L cherryburst! Actually, I think I like yours even more than my L-2500. 
Yours has more yellow/orange in the center and the transition to the reddish orange on the outside is less abrupt than on mine.

Does anyone else have this issue.. On my L2500, I can't have my B string go through the body because the hole in the bridge is to small. I have to go through the bridge with the string. It's a 130 size string.

Yup, I had that problem on my US version of that bass. Took a power drill and widened the hole in the through-body grommet so the B-string would pass through. No further problems. On my M2500 I am using TI jazz flats and didn't want to bend the B-string that much. Mounted E to G through the body (thereby holding the bridge on) and top-mounted the B-string only.
If anyone is looking for new way of driving themselves nuts, I can recommend keeping an eye on G&L's Facebook page, trying to spot a photo of your completed bass.
