I think you can get no PG on the option order models, but no control plate and what appears to be a preamp, I’m guessing custom shop.

That looks like a 2-band EQ preamp as well. Hmmm....
I'm not *at all* used to looking at 5 string bridges, and was wondering if that was the standard, or something wider

That was my interpretation. G&L does not have anything on the shelf that would fit there and I doubt they bought something. Also doubt they would build something new for a single order other than a passive system (those are easier than active).
That’s right, the 5-string custom J in 465. It has 4 knobs, and someone suggested a preamp, but now I wonder - would 2 tone controls be 1 per pickup?
