Gamers, what are you playing these days?

Can I clan up with you? I played it once so far and had no clue what I was doing. It seems like it could be awesome but to be honest, I need help.

I saw some online clips and there was like 300 guys all battling at one time. Lag is a problem apparently though, and it should be with that many people online at once.

If we were still active in it, I'd say sure. However due to some issues with lag, and the fact that our coalition was split between US and the EU, most of us don't play it much more these days.

I might start playing some xbox again, after discovering the wii doesn't play dvds I hooked up my xbox. There's plenty of classics I've not played so it should be fun. So far on my list of things to get I have:

Wifi adapter
Assassin's creed
Bioshock
Fable III
Fallout 3
Red Dead Redemption
halo 4 (is this the latest one? I'm asking because my interest in halo is mainly for the MP)

I'll probably snatch them used. Any suggestions?

hey ziltoid, as far as I know, halo 4 is the most recent. It's got some really interesting gameplay, but I don't really like how "textured" every surface is. Of course, I'm not much of a gamer, right now I've still got to get a working mouse for my laptop so I can get back to playing brutal Doom again.

also: are the fable sequels any good? I've got fable 1, and the ending seemed a bit anticlimactic to me.

Imo. Fable 1 was the best but I did enjoy fable 2 and 3, I did 1 and 2 many times and I plan onto doing the same with 3 (only had one go at it so far, it was my buddy's game). I'm a bit of a fan so take this with a grain of salt :p

I don't know if you're planning on buying Bioshock Infinite, but I believe it comes with the original Bioshock. That's how it was for PS3, anyway. I was going to offer to send you my copy before I realized you were planning on playing on Xbox, because I made the mistake of buying it right before Infinite, only to find out that Infinite came with both.

Get it from GameStop? I'm thinking legit mistake. No matter tho I have two copies of the originals. By themselves and then the rapture edition. I think the story was better than infinite tho.... Establishing alternate endings and then taking them away....that's a serious gameplay blow.

I loved the crap out of this game... make sure you play the first one before you play this. Bioshock 2 is just best forgotten.

Well, just bought Guild Wars 2 (it's on sale 30% off until the 28th. $39.99 for the regular version and $54.99 for the "deluxe" version, regular version is usually $59.99). I got that MMORPG itch the other day, don't want to go back to World of Warcraft, because, well, **** monthly fees. Anyone else play? :D

Warhammer 40,000. Not the computer game, but the tabletop game. It's nerd X 100. My 13 year old son has got me hooked. We're having a lot of fun. It's got artistic and strategic value.

Played that a lot through the 90's (Fantasy too), it's great fun but the prices started to soar a bit too much.

Pick up the odd miniature now and again to try my painting skills on. Keep considering getting more, some friends started playing again, a game over a few beers isn't all too bad.

Tempted to pick up Necromunda or Blood Bowl too . . . :ninja:

Absolute belter of a game right there!

Nice, not played GW2 but loved the original!

I love playing great games I've missed when they came out. You can get them a lot cheaper, plus you feel like you're playing in your own bubble of history, just for you.

Haven't heard about 'Wifi Adaptor' though. Sounds like it's got a lot of DRM :D

Yeah, been very interested to try this one. It sounds like an amazing, mindblowing experience. Especially if you play a lot of call of duty/battlefield or their ilk. From what I hear, it's very much a layered piece of art commenting on our zeitgeist and nudging you to think about yourself and society, rather than a simple consumerist 'just for fun' snackfood game. Like great literature compared to say a twilight book. And it's supposed to achieve this not because it's based on Heart of Darkness, but through its mechanics and gameplay. Which would make it a celebration of the uniqueness of computergames as a medium, and lift them up into the realm of legit, adult art.

Have I said I'm reeeeeeally interested to play this? :D

I just bought the Mass Effect Trilogy on PS3.

My PC wasn't good enough to handle ME1 when it came out, and it wasn't released on PS3... so i skipped on ME2 and ME3 when they released because i wanted to play from the beginning. Better late than never!

Also, lots of King of Fighters 13 and Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition v.2012 (waiting for v.2013 to drop!).

halo 4 (is this the latest one? I'm asking because my interest in halo is mainly for the MP)

For the most part, Halo Reach is superior to Halo 4, even on the multiplayer front.

It's a good game, but I'd pick up Halo Reach second hand instead myself, although some people did prefer Halo 4. They sort of call-of-dutied it up.

Loved Fable 1, enjoyed Fable 2, pre-ordered Fable 3, picked it up early in the morning, played for an hour or two and put it back in the box forever more.

Should probably have a crack at it again sometime, but it just wasn't engaging for me in the slightest.
