Gassy drummer, smells bad.

The past couple of gigs our drummer has been REALLY stinking up the place. I mean, eye watering, cloying, stinking punch to the throat that I'm sure our audience can smell. We play at mid sized bars, so it's not like the audience is that far away. I tend to stand close to the drummer, so occasionally our singer gives me the stink eye, like it's my fault. It's not.

The drummer is a nice guy. I don't know him well enough to say "Dude. No." What to do? Get a fan?

Drop a bunch of bisacodyl or a mag citrate bomb in his beverage.

I can’t fart when I’m playing. If I were suffering from some intestinal distress and there was excessive pressure then that’s a different story.
If you’re sure it’s farts then I would brake the ice by asking him if he’s lactose intolerant. It almost sounds like you’re leading in with a joke, “Hey, can I ask you something? Are you lactose intolerant?”
Hopefully the conversation can deepen from there.
