Can the pickup covers be easily removed and put back on on these pickups. I’m considering them for a project and want to paint the pickup covers but not the pole pieces.

You're thinking of the Select series. Those are different.

No!

The Geezer signature P is not just a PHZ with holes in the cover for the pole pieces.

As Jimmi said, and I have tried to explain you a couple of times by now, they are in fact completely different pickups.

Do you really think EMG just drilled holes for the pole pieces in the cover of one of their existing pickups and then asked Geezer if he would be ok with if they slapped his name on them so they could charge a couple of bucks more for them, and he was like: "Sure, I don't see why not, it's not like I really care about my tone anyway or how my name is used, please go ahead, sounds like a great idea to me".

Without concrete confirmation from EMG that's just conjecture. BTW it's not unlike EMG to reuse pickup designs in different form factors.

If you had actually contacted EMG yourself about this, like you are eager me doing, you would know that you are in fact wrong.

And it's totally absurd that you insist on not being.

So please reveal your actual source for this absurd claim, and no, your brain isn't a valid source, whatever odd ideas it might come up with, no matter how much you insist on being right.

Look at the instructions. All the specs are identical. The official part number for the Geezer pickups is GZR PHZ.

It would be very challenging to design two "different" pickups that happened to have the same magnet types, DCR, inductance, resonant frequency peaks at two different loadings, and the same inductance at those peaks.
