I've just bought a new (as stock) Faital loaded NX2 212T.
They had a huge sale on these in the UK. The cab was very cheap and still sealed in the factory box.
The Genz was considerably less than half price of the Berg CN212, with a bespoke cover as well.

GB Streamliner 900/ GB Shuttlemax 9.2/TC RH750.
So far, concentrating on the Max 9.2, I found the tone clear, balanced, precise, and 'full'.The B is MEATY but not overbearing.
There is a lot of high end content without the tweeter. Just a touch of tweeter is enough....although it can go full on and still not sound harsh.
Its light, very well made, good form factor. Excellent cab. I am impressed.
PS - It will very well put out what you put in, eg big fat warm thuddy neck pup tones with a pick, all the way to aggressive middy clear clean bridge pups.
It also accepts tube grind very well...nice a throaty! Then, whack it back to clean, and its super clean and crisp.
Absolutely spot on. I dropped it a little on my bass/amp depending on what I was using.
With a Walkabout I have to cut the passive mid a bit and boost the high mids slightly (depending on the room or ensemble). Those 300W push that cab hard as it can go with the gain at 12:30 master at about 12:00/12:30.
Looking for a used NX2-112T now, for the few times I may need an extension (and for a similar sounding small rig). Seems all online retailers are out-of-stock.

Watching Ed Friedland's Youtube video on the NX2-212T and from my own experience, it seems to be the most balanced cab Genz Benz put out with plenty of slam on tap. GB's latest round of offerings let them finish strong.
I absolutely agree. Going out in style with a stellar lineup of amps/cabs.
It is a very nicely balanced cabinet. Considering it doesn't weight much more (or potentially the same) as an Aguilar DB112 (another cabinet I like) it's pretty damn impressive.
I just bagged an NX2-212T for £379 new from GAK for any UK peeps reading this. They still have plenty in stock, too.
I'm downsizing my Berg NV610 and couldn't resist the price tag and weight. I was surprised though when I started gigging it that I prefer the sound of the NX2. Really gospel sounding to my ears. Throaty, clear, crisp, very even across the spectrum (better top end than the sealed Berg so pops cut through better and somehow a tighter bottom B on my Dingwall SJ5). Yet to see how it handles a Sansamp. Gotta say, I think I'd actually prefer the Genz over the Berg even if it wasn't a bit smaller and half the weight.
Very honest sounding cab too which I like for gigs where your signal is going to the desk from your head's DI. Why set your tone to a reference monitor (your cab) that's not accurate? Just gonna give the sound man a harder time.
Filled a big marquee with this thing too and my STL 9.0 still had plenty of juice left. Filled the place without swamping it.
My only niggle is that the electronics in the cab, unsurprisingly, aren't as clean as the Berg's. There's a slight (although I do mean slight) hiss (not the tweeter) the whole time but it's far less noticeable than the kind of hiss ALL of our guitarists have! You can only really hear it if you stick your head in front of it while the room's quiet.
Anyway just my thoughts and yet another identical review of the same product ;-)

Just got mine from GAK today. They are sold out I am afraid it , though Bassdirect still have some in stock. What a bargain! No chance to gig it yet but home use reveals a really impressive cab. I am considering getting a Streamliner 900 to match with this cab. Whats your opinion?. I play with a classic rock covers band and need plenty of welly.
I've only ever played a Streamliner in a shop at low volume (through the original NeoX 212T) but I really didn't like it, personally. It was A/B'd with a STL 6.0 and an Aguilar Tone Hammer 500 (which was easily the best sounding to my ears). Can't say whether the Stream's a gooden at gig volume though. If you're playing rock it might fit your needs. I wish all companies did what Barefaced do and give you 30 days to demo a product before sending it back. Otherwise you'll never know until it's too late.
Personally, I found the STL to sound far cleaner and more direct than the Streamliner. They were both quite clean/sterile (what goes in comes out) but the STL was tighter (less whoolly) and more responsive for sure.

If you're still monitoring this thread, I have a question for you! The LF drivers in the NX-212T are actually crossed-over and not run full frequency, right? I couldn't remember whether or not the woofers get the whole signal. Assuming they don't, would you have any misgivings about wiring them so that they're not crossed over and receive the full input signal, keeping the crossover for the tweeter intact, though?
What's the upper usability for those LF drivers? I was looking at Faital's site the other day and noticed they had a very similar driver listed at 300W handling and somewhere around 50hz-5kHz usable range. I know the GB ones are a proprietary version based on one of Faital's models, but would allowing the woofers to be full range give any significant extension of the high end with the tweeter turned all the way down? Just curious.

The lf drivers are run full range, the mid voicing and even more specifically how the drivers behave when driven hard that is in large part how the cabinet sounds when overdriven. Try dialing the tweeter down and then driving the amp hard, especially the preamp gain. Intentionally, the drivers design addresses the way the amp's harmonics are reproduced as well as what harmonic structure the speaker adds to the sound. It's a very important aspect of designing a speaker as a system. Hope this helps.
I have an NX2-212T, and I've used it with both a Streamliner 900 (sold since) and a Shuttlemax 12.2 (still using).

I opted for the Shuttlemax because I prefer more control over the mids, but it works just fine with the Streamliner as well. I love the fact that it's light and easy to haul around with the built in wheels.
I do a lot of open mics, and have been the house bassist for one for about six months. Folks always comment on how great my GB stuff sounds (I have Uber cabinets as well) and the NX is no exception.
Pick one up - you won't be sorry.
