Genz Benz Shuttle 9.0 Appreciation Thread

I think dumping those filters for a second semi-para mid eq would be way better. Maybe one variable contour knob ala GK or MB.

No way, add don't take. Those filters have become so important, they are part of what makes Genz Genz and my tone switching my tone switching. I love them and wil buy them. Please, don't loose those, it makes live switching sound like multi channel in a tiny little beautiful box... I love it love it love it!

Would dig a DI for some reason, or a 1 u space tall shuttle or what ever sexy amp those Genz guys come up with. I think now I just need to decide: Genz or Berg for my Genz amps.

+1 to only add a 2nd sweepable eq section. I'd almost like to see GB make an onboard bass preamp....But back to amps.:)

Shuttle 9 thru Bag End Q-10BXD = Holy ****!!!!
Shuttle 9 thru Accu Groove Bill Dickens cabs....Nice!!
Shuttle 9 thru DNS Cabs Very even and full sounding
Shuttle 9 thru THunderfunk 610 Powerful, but could use more mids ( the cabinet )

I need some GB cabs to test out.

Cool thread.

So I should upgrade to a 9.0 from my 6.0 if:

* I find myself turning on my "lows" button
* I wouldn't mind more headroom
* I love the basic tone
* I find GB as a company to be one of the best in business.

I think I will probably upgrade. But what's this about a new GB amp? Do tell. Is there a thread?

I know they don't spill beans until products exist. When will it exist?

Just got back from gig using this rig.

It fits in the trunk of my Honda Accord.

It rolls into the club.

Pretty much provides all the tone and presence I will ever need.

Keeper, main rig. Thanks GB!!

There's no separate thread, just some buzz around what GB may announce at NAMM in January. No info yet on whether it would be the next Shuttle or something else.

Before I make a decision I'm gonna wait and be patient :)

Just guessing, but I would think any new amp line would involve refreshing the 750/1200 series, which is getting a bit tired (or possibly an all tube amp). Pure IMO there, but since Roger stated that the Shuttle line would not be impacted by the new amp/amp line, it seems a pretty good guess.

Agreed, I guess we will all know in a month or so.

Exciting times to be a bassist!

We'll leave that to Dave and the Aguilar crew. :D

All my basses except my Ken Smith have his preamps.

BTW, putting a Tone Hammer in front of a Shuttle, makes it a virtual, two channel amp.

I eq the Shuttle for finger tone. Then, I eq the Tone Hammer for my slap tone.
