Makes me wonder if an FET version of the 9.0 might be available...probably at the same time as the somewhat delayed Max 18.0

Depends entirely on the output level of your bass.

I think the Shuttle 9.0 opens up a bit better with the tube gain up a bit and the master not quite so high. Keep an eye on the clip light. I set it so that I just get a flicker now and again and it seems to work fine.

Hey man - it's one of these - a Levy's Italian Leather one - the link I add has them at half price on Amazon - I love mine and it's great my Sei bass and Shuttle 9 both fit in... a killer bass and a killer amp in the same bag! Sweet.

Cool...and it looks like I could get my Strobostomp in the pocket on the headstock end.

With the right neo cab, I could turn my load-in into a single trip. Finally!

Got my replacement 9.0 yesterday (this one's perfect btw!), spent most of this morning playing it low volume through an 8 ohm Ampeg single 15" and trying out several different basses, playing with the tone and EQ. Having fun but now I'm off to rehearsal with the band in a few minutes so I'll get to try it out now with a 4 ohm Ampeg 410 HLF cab and push the volume a bit -- looking forward to it. So far this little titan has been everything I'd hoped it would be!

As a follow up, really enjoyed getting to know this amp over the weekend. It indeed is everything I'd hoped. The low end output was actually too much when paired with my Ampeg 410HLF as that cab is tuned for depth anyway, but it was very easy to brighten it up with the EQ. The tone was warm and rich, and the thing has power to spare. With 900 watts I can't imagine I'll ever need another amp, at least for the forseeable future.

The pocket can hold small cables. IMO leaving the cables attached mechanically stresses the cables and speakon plugs and isn't a great idea.

Yes. in the shuttle 9 canvas gig bag.. I put two 6 foot speakons and a 7 foot AC power cable in the front pocket.. a few 9v batteries are in there too. Speakons being still connected to the head.. NO.. but in the pocket yes.

Never leave cables connected to anything. It results in strain to the cables at the resulting bend point(s) and reduces their service life. Also, any impact to the connectors can damage them and the matching connector on the unit they're connected to.

Echo on leaving cables connected, and on the fact that there is plenty of room in the front pocket. I wish the bag offered a bit more protection...particularly on the front flap...but it is a wonderful way of lugging around this amazingly light beast.

I'm referring to my 6.0 - the 9.0 will be purchased very soon. Got to try it in the flesh last week and totally fell in love with it.

Yes that's how they are when I play - a bit of mid boost and at home I'm favouring not running it with the Low Frequency boost on - don't really need to shake the entire block I live in!

I still want to try it out more live and thankfully I have a few gigs in January so should get to put it through its paces a bit more - but the more I use it the more 'natural' I think it sounds - it's a killer amp.
