Genz-Benz Shuttle Megathread

I thought I was over the gas since I bought a GBE 750 6 months ago, but this is killing me. I am in Nashville this weekend playing for a friend. We stopped in Corner Music and they had both combos on the floor. I made the mistake of trying them out. I'm hooked! Now I want one. The 3.0 with the 10 was surprisingly loud, especially with the extension 12. This is great stuff. Can't wait to get one!

Haha! If you keep making these plane trips then you NEED one, right?

My wife said that she likes the new 'baby sized' head. I started to correct her, but she was right.

This is what happens when she leaves me home with the baby.

You have a very cute wife, kinda young though for my taste ;). A pet name for your amp already, it must be love. :bassist:

edit: Your daughter is very cute(If I got the gender wrong I apologize, both of my girls always got mistaken for boys, and vice-versa for my boy, go figure! Hurray for sexual ambiguity).

I received my replacement by 9:30 this morning---unbelievable service. With a shirt and a hat to boot!

I had it on long enough to see that it worked and tried out the preamp a little. My family who like to sleep-in put a stop to my tryout for now. I will post a more detailed review later but I think it's gonna be good---real good. I have a fairly loud classic rock gig tonight to it will be a post-gig review. I'll also give a comparison to the LMII which I used for about 2 months.

I have to go to Vicksburg Ms on business this coming week--bummer---maybe I'll play hookey.

Damn.....thats awesome!!!

My first 112 was screwed up when I got it. I called Roger at 4:30 and got his machine. He called me at 4:40 saying "He was sorry taking so long to get back to me" Wow 10 big minutes. He was Reagan Airport, in the 10 minutes he already talked to Jeff and they had another one on the way. Total elapsed time 14.5 hours to have a replacement. 9 a.m. the nextmorning UPS dropped the replacment off and took the bad one. These guys have perfected CS

Similar story, but a bit different. I tried a Neox112t out at Corner Music, and it had a buzz or rattle. I already had the 212, and specifically wanted a 112. JD called Genz, and yet again, they overnighted one. So they stand behind their dealers as well as the end user ... JD was very pleased that they handled it that way, and I had my cab the next morning.

Cheers

I haven't had a bit of trouble with my NeoPak but it's nice to know that these guys would be right on it if there ever was a need. :)

I going to opt for the 2ohm upgrade in the near future but I'm waiting to let these guys deal with the Shuttle rush before I ask to have it done.

I'm glad it worked out and once again, we're sorry for the trouble. Since this is the first DOA Shuttle we've had, we wanted to get it back ASAP to see what the issue is.

Just for curiousity, I'll post here when we find out.

any authorized dealer CAN sell them but passed experience tells me that few will stock something like this.

Any Genz dealer can order them and we do have them in stock.

WOW, 3 minutes to get a reply from the man himself. How can other amp makers compete with this kind of customer service? You guys are gonna end up with the whole market and all other companies will have to close their doors... :D

BTW - do you sleep?

my wife has complained that I work too much and even Jeff Genzler has told me to take some time off. I think that's because he gets sick of me though.

I don't want to have other companies shut their door either. We have good friends at many and most: Aguilar, EA, Trace, SWR, Accugroove...... good people, good or great product. I just want to sell enough amps to pay some bills, support my MTD habit and go skiing with the family.

:)

tho recorded in the crappiest room possible here is an audio of the 6.0/212. glass industrial building with a tile floor,35 foot ceilings and we set up in a corner with glass on 4 sides. I'll do more tonight but here is a 6.0 preview

that's odd- It sounds like its coming through little speakers on a Mac computer.

...oh...wait. Nevermind.

;)

Actually Dennis, the mix and levels sound great.

OT- what type of amp does the guitarist use?
