I think AgedHorse is saying that if you factor in the performance aspects of the super cranial flyback swingover circuit connected to the high performance, yet proprietary muffller belt, a custom supercharged domo flochy kicks in whenever magic fairy dust is required. Other amps don't have this. Hence the amazing performance of the Shuttle 6.0.

Keep in mind this is one of the lightest amps around. Shipping wordlwide with USPS, for example, will be reasonable.

I don't understand it either. But, I have seen "tube" preamps and distortion pedals that are running really low, whatever that means, and it does not sound as tubey as tubes that are operating in the same ranges you would normally see in an all-tube amp.

The question is whether the tube preamp is an effect or if it is a "real" tube preamp.

Tube sound comes not only from the tube, but the circuitry surrounding the tube. Like everything else, there are good applications of a tube and poor applications of a tube. For bass guitar, there are some special considerations that must be addresed including the vibration the tube is subjected to and preventing (non-musical) microphonice from entering the signal path detracting from the tone is a very important issue in preventing (non-musical) overtones and artifacts like ghost notes.

C'Mon we all love more or less useless information that doesn't help in real world decisions regarding tone.

The more useless knowlage that I gain that makes no difference in tone, that I can use to further eliminate otherwise qualified good sounding amplifiers that don't meet electrical specs that don't matter, with regard to how my sound would work through them saves me from even having to plug into one saves me a TON of time.



Does that make ANY sense??

WAIT!!!!!

Did you check that your cab can handle the ~947v put out by the P32 Space Modulator V7.6.23?????? (I think .24 may even be used now, which changes EVERYTHING!!!)
Plus, that coupled with the Flux Reactance circut may not be able to power your cab efficiantly at 4Ohms- thus not sounding good........Just a thought.

You may want to check with hasbeen or agedhorse first on this though.

OK, so I'm thinking about hopping in the Shuttle bandwagon, but I've got a couple of questions (I also realize these things just came out, so some of these answers may be hard to come by):

1. I've seen a couple of people ask about comparisons to the Eden WT400 or WT550 (tone, power, etc), but I haven't seen any real answers. For those of you who've played the Shuttle and an Eden, what are your thoughts tone, volume, punchiness, low-end tightness, etc?

2. It seems most peeps are using the GB NEO 12's with the Shuttle. Anybody have opinions on using the Shuttle with other cabs (Berg, Aguilar, Dr. Bass, etc)?

3. How does the 12" cab that comes with the STL6012T compare to the NEOX 112T? If you were to pickup a STL6012T, would the 112 extension cab or the NEOX 112T be a better extension? Maybe the GB guys can answer this one?
