Oh, and the bassist from the band after me dug it, liked the amp and complimented me on my lines. We talked a bit, then he hauled his rig up on stage ... a flip top Ampeg. I asked "Original or reissue?" (it was dark in there!). It was an original from around 1962. I was ogling it, and then he said "Dude, look at the bass." My jaw dropped ... a 1966 Precision. I hate him. ;) Cool, very cool. I sat back with my bandmates and listened to one of the true classic, vintage bass sounds of all time, and enjoyed it very much.

Fun night!

Umm......the Shuttle 6.0/112 combo came today.
Played it for about 10 minutes.........

Oh good Lord..................

hey Mike! That's awesome man. I am really impressed with the Shuttle 6.0 head with my Epifani UL310. I am really interested in the 6.0-12T for use as a small rig for small gigs and rehearsals. Let me know what you think of the head if you try it with other cabs. It has some serious attitude and personality that I really like! In fact, I bet the Shuttle 6.0 would offer a great tone with your Alleva LG5! (As you know, I also I have an LG-5 on order. Can't wait to hear it)

I am going to gig my SHuttle 6.0 for the first time tomorrow night with my EpiUL310. I'll compare with my Markbass LMII head. But so far, I think the Shuttle 6.0 is going to give me more of that vintage growl and character that I crave. Gary

Mike called me just before writing this. He lost his mind when he heard this amp.

Mike and I talk a lot and I told him it rocked.

Folks, I may be an endorsee but it because I flat out think this stuff just kills everything else out there.

Am I biased? HELL YES! But that happened after I bought the stuff, played the stuff, rehearsed and gigged with it.

I can't tell you how many people thought I was just blowing smoke because I "have a deal" with GB. Well, the deal came AFTER I bought gear and IF I wasn't part of the GB family I WOULD PAY TOP DOLLAR FOR THIS GEAR. Period!

Hello Aged Horse,
i was reading along this thread, also about the flashing overload light of the shuttle. Why dont you make it like a slowly increasing glow wich increases with the over drive.

I`ll take the chance and ask a couple of questions.

I was wondering how many watts the 6 spits out,
if you have a speaker RE of 6.4 ohms and RE of 3.2 ohms.
whats the maximum voltage before clipping or limiting and still full
current with no power sags ?

The speaker chassis I use does about 103 dB with 2.83 volts and goes up to about 123 dB I dont know exactly, but the Box is very loud,
two in parallel and stacked so it couples is more than enough.

Am I able to drive it all the way with a shuttle ?

Im playing a Demeter HB600 with a Mosfet poweramp, It is quite powerful Current wise.
Im wondering if that Shuttle is the same league power wise.
Does it really deliver the current for the Low B, C, D ?
Is there a way to low cut with out cutting to much lows for the B string ?
In my experience to get a reasonable B, C, D,
it should be cut well below 60 Hz, rather @40Hz.
That 6 Shuttle its really tempting, nice little amp.
would be nice to have one going by foot.

My 1-12" speakers are my own developement.
I make speakers for over 20 years, lately alot lighter ones.
It is quite small and about 18 pounds, no neodyme Chassis.

The last one I made was a 3 way 15" 10" + Ringradiator also no Neodymes. RE is 3.2 It is 4.9 Cubic feet and about 55 pounds.
Of course hat one is to big going by foot.

Thanks from europe

The attack and release time of the LED is designed to accurately represent what is happening with the signal. It's up to each player to use this information to set their own input gain structure according to their tonal preference. To slow it down would mean the short slap like tranisents would not be visible.

I was wondering how many watts the 6 spits out, if you have a speaker RE of 6.4 ohms and RE of 3.2 ohms.

Speaker Re does not matter because there is no DC signal present. What matters is the impedance across the audio band. At 4 ohms, the 6.0 delivers over 600 watts.

(Way) too complicated of a question for this forum, as there are reactive load issues, current, voltage and duty cycle factors as well as frequency related limitations that turn an accurate answer into a long and (relatively) boring "thesis".

Yes, no problem as long as it presents a normal 4 ohm nominal load to the amp.

I think you need to try one out for yourself to see if it suits your personal taste.

OK I'll register the first complaint on the 1200
I just talked to our production guy (video) and they asked how to shut off...and I quote "Those insanely bright blue lights".
To which I responded "Oh you mean the Retna searing Blue LEDS???".
Them "Yeah, what the heck is up with those things?!?!?"
Me "Sorry, can't turn them off"
Them "Fine, they are getting Gaff tape or something on them, they mess with one of our shots and with the amp where it is sitting, people in the first row, messes with them!"

They ended up putting some Scotch Tape (not the clear stuff, but the frosted kind) over them to dull the glare.
:D

This is terrible. I was totally convinced I had cured the GAS by getting the EA Micro300 and a Wizzy10, for a remarkably light 20 lbs. And a remarkably loud and enjoyable and defined sound. Then added the Wizzy12 giving 3 ways to play. Sounds great in every situation so far.

And yet.... the GAS for a Shuttle 6.0 is forming. Big bubble already.

Would someone please post that they bought the Shuttle and found it to be brittle and useless and thin and totally unsatisfactory? Please? At least tell me it can't handle two 4 ohm cabs.
