Genz Benz Streamliner, Part 10

Since we've started rehearsing again ( damned pandemic ) I've been using the an Ashdown combo to play through ( as the guitarist brought it and left it in our rehearsal space ).
As we're gigging next week ( yay!! ) I brought my Streamliner and GB Uber 2x12" cab to get my settings right before the gig.
Dear lord I forgot what this beast sounds like at gigging volumes. An immense "room filling" presence with loads of grunt & clarity.
I remember now why I fell in love with this gear all those years ago.:hyper:

My Streamliner and Aggie 12s are all I need too. Must be something about the combination of that amp and 12 inch cones.

Quick question folks.
I'm sure I've read this on this thread before ( possibly from "agedhorse" but am I right that you can run the Streamliner DI out without a cab load attached?
I'm doing a couple of "acoustic type" gigs shortly ( as our drummer was in a motorcycle accident this weekend ) and was hoping to use my Streamliner as an EQ and "DI box" straight to the PA system.

Hey those settings are very similar to what I am using now with the exception of treble at 12:00 and volume at 2:00.

I remember reading the old tone control primer thread where someone posted that the volume At 2:00 makes quite a bit of difference and in my case it definitely does. Those settings cop a pretty good SVT type tone. Great sounding amp.

I've been neglecting this head since I got my HX Stomp a while ago. Honestly, I've learned quite a bit about eqing since getting the Stomp, and I'm eager to mess with my streamliner the next time I'm jamming (which is far less frequent than ideal).

Very curious to see how my it matches up with my GK CX210 cab (that I've had for a while now) at volume. I've pretty much just being using the head for power through the effects loop, so don't know how they work together "as intended".

With the EQ cut like that, the notes seems to snap in focus as someone else posted on the Tone Control Primer Thread.

It gives me a nice NEO PAK tone with considerable more power. And the added gain and volume add some nice harmonic content much like an SVT.

Although on certain basses I do need to keep the gain lower. My G&L Tribute M2000's sound horrible at anything above 12:00. Those basses are just too damn hot.

Actually a different amp.
I have two STL 900 amps... I know crazy. I just loved my STL 900 so much, I sold my TH amp, and got your STL 900 as my back up.

This one is my older one... maybe I'll take 'em both on the next gig and switch out between sets.
