Ok I got mine two weeks ago and it rules! New to this thread but I see people referencing settings like "svt"...is there a link to these?
The "SVT" setting is something like this
Gain Button OFF
Gain - About 2 or 3 o'clock
Volume - Noon or so
Bass - 9 o'clock
Mid Freg Selector at 220
Mid - 9 o'clock
Treble - 11 or Noon
Master Volume to taste

Right now mine differs in that I have the bass at about 10:30 - 11

thanks brother! are there other settings out there that people are using to replicate other amps?

Not that I know of. Some people tried to get it sound like the Aguilar DB 750 but never posted anything about it.

On "svt" setting try playing around with the mid freq a bit and you'll notice some good stuff too. Some people like it on 600 too.

On my cab at home I like it on 600 but on a friends Old Acoustic 360 cab with 2 Electrovoice 15's I like it on 2.5K because it is very dark voiced

I just got mine in today. I spent 3 hours playing it and it is sweet! I have a gig tomorrow night and I'm bringing it along with my regular rig with the intention of running the Genz. I want the GK there just in case there is a problem or I can't quite get the sound right since I don't have any experience with it. Based on tonight though I'll be using the Streamliner!

What a sweet amp!

keep in mind that there is more to this amp than meets the eye. If you don't get the tone you're after right away take the time to learn the amp. It's taken me a while to learn how all the controls interact.

I have to admit I'm still very pleased with mine. I just recorded an EP with it as a DI and I was very pleased with the tone in general. It performed admirably as a tube preamp and along with my markbass compressore meant there was very little done to the signal after I recorded it. Seems that it was just a matter of mastering the volume.

I think this amp shines without a cab really (unless its a fearless maybe). When it's uncolored it's the best.

Oh yeah, that's one thing I've gathered from reading over these threads. There is alot of info out there on them if you take the time to look. This thread, the tone primer thread and the tube rolling thread. It'll take some time to digest it all. I'm bringing both because I never trust anything out of the box until it earns my trust. You just never know, but it seems to be very reliable from my reading. Except for the LED's evidently. LOL.

And remember to not be afraid to tweek those knobs to try and find the sounds you're after.
I'm currently using the "svt" settings with the bass bumped to about 11 with my lakland 55-02 because I find it cuts better but when i play my jazz with flats I find I have to bump the bass and mids to "round" out the tone.

Very well.. and adds a smooth extended lows that fills in the bottom well... Those cabs are punchy too . .so the streamliner makes them a but larger sounding .. In a good way..

Good to hear. I've now got two NEOX 112T cabs on the way to replace my Markbass rig that I just picked up in the classifieds. This rig will be a bit larger than the old itty bitty 1x12 MB cabs, but I wanted some more low end extension and a more tube-y tone.

I'll find out if it works shortly. :)

I'm using a Neox 212T with STM-900 tonite at a pub gig; TX blues n more. Either with a P5 or Jazz5 w/flats, not sure yet.

Tomorrow nite at a small wedding reception gonna use the STM-900 with a single Neox 112T. With 55-02D.

Great little cabs and powerful. These 212T's are so easy to schlep around. My summer cabs for easier/faster load in load out. Faster into buildings with AC.
