I love the DI on the streamliner, and have used it mostly pre eq, but sometimes post depending on the room and the situation. I will say I have seen a board here and there that could use a stronger signal and then I wish it was adjustable, mostly lower end stuff. So, I always plan to have an external DI on my board for those times.
My DI signal is pretty strong even with a cheap used Behringer mixer, about on par with the mics which had the gain near 10.
Clean & clear. Church has a nice board, I'm not sure what level I am there, I just know the soundman loves my signal, says dont change a thing

Soundguys love the super clean signal coming out of the streamliner. Many compliments so far from sound techs
I played my first gig through my recently acquired 2nd hand Streamliner 600 tonight. I was running it through a single 8 ohm Avatar 112. Gig was a benefit/party for the local Habitat for Humanity group; about 125 people in attendance. I was very pleased with the sound. I really caught myself grinning a few times. I had spent a lot of time at home playing with the tone controls and did a little tweaking during our sound check a couple of nights ago. I barely touched the tone controls tonight and I was happy with the sound all night long.
Next gig will be outdoor with no reinforcement so I'll be running it through my old Genz Benz 4 ohm XB 4x10. I'm looking forward to trying that out.

Not a moan, but a comment on my STM 900. I'm finding the bass and treble controls very musical and easy to use but I'm wanting adjustment at 2.5K as well as either 600Hz or 200Hz. So, cutting at 200 or boosting at 600, still leaves me with a hole at 2500 that I want to boost. Whereas, boosting at 2.5K leaves me with a hole at 600. It's not a big deal, as I can boost using my B7K pedal at 2500, but if I were to tweak the amp design for a V2.0 I would definately give control at 2, or even all 3, mid frequencies at the same time.
I've also got amn EWS BMC (bass mids control) mini pedal on the way for some extra fine adjustment, enabling me to keep the B7K purely for dirty tones.

You'll probably find the EQ pedal a good way to fine-tune your tone with the Streamliner. An Empress ParaEQ is now a permanent part of my pedalboard...

My GK NEOs have a definite presence in their high mids which is awesome so I can boost at 600 also & the lows & put treble to taste. Same for markbass cabs that have a low mid bump, you can add high mids.
If you have a totally scooped cab, well that could be an issue!

Its a Genz 810-XB3, which certainly isn't mid-shy. Obviously it does come down to a healthy measure of "personal taste" also.
I could see the Streamliner going extremely well with a cab that has a real bump at somewhere around 400-800 Hz or 1500-2500Hz. And then you could boost the "other" mid range using the amp.
I'm guessing your "high mids" with your GK neos equate to roughly the 1500-2500Hz range so, yes, the streamliner would be a great match for that, with a boost on the amp at 600Hz..
Also, obviously, ANY cab with the Streamliner needs to have a totally tight bass response.

I've found myself wanting a little more mid control, but at what point does it cease to be a 'streamliner?'

P bass -> STM 900 - > Bergantino HS210 = tone heaven.
Just back the bass knob off to 10:00, mids and treble @ 12:00.
Gives solid thick chewy tone with tight bass.

I agree, but I really wish they had used the shuttle's sweepable mid instead of the 3 position mid control.
I find I get a nice little mid bump from my mark bass compressore. It's not what it's made for, but its a nice little side effect of using it.
Absolutely correct sir! I believe cabs that don't fit the description above are why Streamliners are being flipped. I already had a great cab & I needed to match it with a head that brought out what it didn't have. Streamliner is perfect for that. Actually was tooling around with the Streamliner today with my jazz. Very clear when I wanted to, no mud at all... again totally tight bass response of the GK NEO 115s.
I'm thinking about bringing a Streamliner 900 back into the fold. I owned one for several months, but was having trouble getting a good live sound. It sounded great at home, but live I just couldnt dial it in. The majority of our shows in NYC provide a backline (usually beatup 410/610/810 cabs) which I am leading to believe would be less fickle with my current Tone Hammer 500 vs. the Streamliner. For shows without a backline, I'm planning on bringing my newly acquired LDS 15/6, but I'm wondering if the added power at 8ohms with the Streamliner will open this cab up live.
My "backup" rig is a Peavey VB-2 and Peavey Tour 410 which are perfect mates, but neither are being lugged on the train at the moment. The VB-2 also sounds fantastic through the 15/6 FWIW...or am I just trying to justify my GAS for a Streamliner???

I own a Streamliner & think it is a BAD idea to have a Streamliner to bring to gigs with various cabs. Its very fickle about the cabs it works with & you will likely face a bunch of gigs with mud.
I can't speak to how it would pair with a LDS
I'd get a Shuttlemax which works very well with almost any cab
You certainly want something around 800 to 900w as you never know what cab, ohms you're going to face.

+1 to comments on the amp/cab pairings. The SM9.2 is a chameleon and sounds great with a lot of different cabs but the STM900 has its own special vibe, a tactile feel with more heft, the other just can't cop. It is wonderful with a pair of Baer ML112's which are tight in the lows with a strong mid presence.

I use a 900 with an LDS 15/6 and it is a match made in heaven....
I have a Fishman Platinum Pro Eq to tame my upright bass but lately have been using it with my electric basses too in front of my Streamliner 900 going into 2 Berg 1x12 cabs. The Fishman is great for taming boominess with its depth control knob, allowing you to retain the tone of the Streamliner. Or you can use the eq section of the Fishman to get tones you can't get with the Streamliner alone. All the while still getting that wonderful Streamliner heft.
I reckon with you could take the Fishman (or other similar pre) and Streamliner together and use them successfully on gigs with various cabs, so long as you're happy to take two small pieces of kit rather than one.

A friend has an old Acoustic 2x15 with 15" Electrovoice speakers in it (speakers wired direct to output bypassing internal amp). It is so dark it was all I could do to get my GK 700 RBII to brighten it up. I mean treble to the max, Bass down quite a bit and high mids up. After hearing all the mud reports about the streamliner I was frankly nervous to try my new GB streamliner 600. I did have to put the Mid selector to 2.5K, treble 3/4 and bass all the way down but they said it sounded really good. Plenty of punch and distinct pounding low end. I loved it!
