Update: It was the tube/s. pulled the hood after trying some of those other options. Put in V1- GE 5751, V2- RCA 7025 & V3- RCA 7025. All is well! In fact, sounds better with the tube mod!

I'll be contacting Jeff here in abit as this was a brand new manufactured in 5/12 head and I had it for less than two weeks.

Cool! Glad you found it with a relatively easy fix. I tried a GE 5751 in V2 but ended up with a USA Tung Sol 5751 as the GE made it a little darker or more bassy. I do realize that on these Streamliners everything you do has an affect on everything else so I cannot make a blanket statement as in your case using the RCA 7025's in V2 and V3 along with a GE 5751 in V1. I'll bet those RCA's are phenomenal sounding.

I asked this in another thread, but I probably should have asked here first, instead of possibly hijacking the other. :o

Anyways, has anyone run a Streamliner 600 thru the single 12" 6.2 Shuttle cab (the 6.2 version that comes with the 6.2-12T, not the extension)?
I have that cab, and am very seriously considering getting the 600 to go with it. Some have said here in the megathread that the Streamliner can be kinda picky about the cabs it gets paired with. I feel it should be fine, but would like to hear from anyone who's already done this.

should be fine depending on music you are playing.

What kind of stuff do you do? 12's have always interested me but never had the chance to try one.

R&R mostly, some blues and a little punk. I like to add a little grind to the upbeat stuff. Small rooms. Mostly parties or informal get-togethers. Looking for light weight and 'tubey goodness'. Hoping the Streamliner 600 and the 12" Shuttle .2 cab will give me that.

Thats the beauty of the new light weight gear. I love having the same power and headroom in a 58lb package. It used to be about 220+lbs I used to haul around. But, yeah if your not doing any large loud gigs the
Single 12 will get you there!

Had a great time at last night's gig, playing at a private party.

Drummer, keys, two electric guitars, one acoustic guitar, me on bass and 4 vocals.

The party was in a small hall that seats about 100 people and we were set up in a loft (sure made set up and take down interesting!). Played a lot of 70's stuff, blues and originals.

My Streamliner 600 performed flawlessly and once I got the mids under control, I was in tonal heaven. The drummer and fella on keys were sit-ins for the evening and were blown away at the tone and presence delivered by my rig.

I have been using a Shuttle 6.2 a lot, recently, and even though it's a great head, I was reminded last night, just how much I dig the Streamliner!

Settings: gain button not enaged; gain: 2:00, gain volume: 2:00, bass: 9:00, mid: 10:00 @ 220hz, treble: 11:30.

Used my fretless 4 banger with a Nordstrand NP4 pup at the neck and big split at the bridge. Streamliner 600 and two Bergantino AE112s.

Just plain juicy!

Cool, the streamliner is choice. But, how have you been using a Shuttle 6.2 for alot as they just started shipping?

Alexofc69, I picked mine up (the 6.2), here, in Canada, at Mojo Music just over two months ago & normally play "out" 3-5 x per week. The Streamliner (purchased it in September of 2011) has been pretty much shelved since I purchased the 6.2. The key word in my statement was "recently". ;-)

maybe a little difficult to see , but i use my DI on
most gigs .
i set mine Pre EQ ,and
the soundman loves it ...:cool:
