Yup, that tonal review was prior to me gigging in a band situation & playing at church

I was pretty damn lost in the mix with the Epifani & Streamliner combo... but better in the living room :hmm:

Streamliner & GK NEO cabs give you the cut you need when you want it but also you can bring the thunderous lows & sweet subtle uppermids\treble.

I'll miss the Epifani but the band decided pretty clearly on the GKs & playing behind my cab at church the Epifani clarity was less than the GK.

In front of the cab playing alone? The Streamliner Epifani cab combo was fantastic!

Grab the GK NEOs with the Streamliner if you feel you aren't clear in the mix. Cut the bass to 9 O'clock, dont sell the amp!

Got my Streamliner 900 yesterday. Only got to play it in my living room as yet, but it certainly is pretty much all I hoped it would be. Pairing it with a Genz 810-XB3 cab, The XB3 cabs are supposed built for extended bass response, but it's very, very tight and I feel it is a good match for the amp.

My only real thought so far is similar to many others in that I'd like to be able to have adjustment on more than one mid EQ centre at a time. Although, in honesty it still is very early days in finding out about the amp.
I settled on the cutting the 220 to get a flat(ish) tone. However, with that setting, I felt like I wanted a bit more punch and brightness in the higher midrange. Of course, this is at living room levels and I am well aware that this may translate completely differently to a band setting. Although I don't have a band event for another week so will have to wait.
Bass frequencies were tight and easily controllable, set at 9:30.
I'm not a fan of the Genz overdrive but I found that my Darkglass B7K was an absolutely cracking match with the amp. If the amp's mids are used at 220 to cut out the "muddy bump", then the B7K has a mids control at 1K and a high mids control at 2.5K, which gives loads of control at those frequencies also. I pretty much always have the B7K on, as even for "clean" tones I like the slight extra clank I can get as I dig in, and a nice bit of fuzziness over the top of the normal note.
Think I'm really going to like this mix !

Surprisingly even though the EQ is simple its different than what you are used to. It will take some time. I know that extreme EQ in other amps, like my Shuttlemax 9.2 wouldn't work well, with the Streamliner its okay to be maxed cutting bass or boosting treble.

I'm considering selling my GB Uber 410, and getting both an Uber 210 and Uber 115. I think that would give me the best of both worlds, wouldn't be too heavy of a rig to carry, and would be over a foot taller than my 410. I'm 6'3", and my Uber 410 is just too short to get sound to my ears in some situations. And I don't like the way it sounds to take the cab off the floor to raise it up.

I had a 2x10 with a 1x15 that sounded awesome together. Had to sell the 2x10 (for financial reason's but wish I still had it).

I know where you are coming from. I'm a great fan of getting mid and high range drivers pointing vaguely somewhere around my head area, without sacrificing bass. I simply enjoy playing more in that environment.
For me, the best way to get this seems to be a nice tall stack. I go the 8x10 route, but there are obviously more ways to do it.

Stop it with driver size & assumptions with tone!

GK NEO 115 is much less warm & big in the lows than the 112. Against the grain

Try the GK NEO 115s bro if you want grindy & less lows. Pairs well with Streamliner

Try tilting your 410 back just a bit. It might work better for you than raising it off the floor. Maybe raise the front ofthe cabinet an inch or so.
