Any speculation on the "ideal" portable cab/cabs for the streamliner 900? I know everyone raves about the uber/Shuttle 9....Given the "old school" overtures made in this thread, I s'pose an 810 sealed..BUT I will be running mine with a glockenklang quattro (I think it is rated at 900 watts..maybe 1K?)..I wouldn't mind getting into some uber cabs down the line if they can do the "old school meets new technology" kind of vibe..plenty of mids with good clear bass(not scooped)..kinda interested in the fEARFUL stuff..wonder how that would match up with this head..

That head should be just great with your Quattro. Even though they are very clear sounding cabs, they are also quite full, and not scooped. If you put vintage in, you should get vintage out.

Probably a lot of great possible combinations.
Ideal? That would be purely a taste thing.
Should really sound great with your Quattro.
Speaking of sealed cabs -- Bergantino NV610 or NV412 (people say they are more portable than they look).
I'd love to hear it through the Genz Uber Quad (or pair thereof).
Berg AE212 or AE410 would be some more to check out.

It will be my trusted db212!

I saw this in the NAMM thread:

Invalid Link Removed

"Fuchs Audio Technology introduces the flagship of a new bass amplifier line: The Bruiser© features a 6-stage 3-tube preamp with bright, ultra-low, hi and low gain switches, high, parametric midrange, and bass controls."

It also uses a "600-W Class-D switching power amp". I wonder if any other companies are trying to develop this new variety of "hybrid amp"? I plan on ordering a Streamliner because of my incredible confidence in Genz - if anyone can pull off what they say the Streamliner will, it'll be them.

This is my plan! Which one though? I play in a metal/hard rock cover band. But would like to have something that could work in any situation. I like to lock in tight with the drummer and get under the guitars/singers(/keys). Since I had a sealed 810, I'm 100 % sure the 610 will do that without any problems. But maybe the 412 can do it better!?

Ken will use all of his cabs with video evidence provided :D

Mine will get plugged into Berg AE210 and/or AE112. Have a Thunderchild ordered and am interested in that pairing. Also will A/B this with my GK Fusion, as my plan is to have the GB and GK as my main and backup heads.

If you want more punch and cut-through, go with the NV610.
From what I've heard, the NV412 has a bit more substantial low end and more complex mids.

That's an over-simplification, but all subjective descriptions of sound will never come close to actually hearing them.
If you can try them out, that would be best.

Hey there! I'd be very interested in hearing the Thunderchild as well as the Streamliner 900. I also use a Berg AE210. (among other boxes) We could have a mini...er micro bass fest. Even though I have a 9.0, I'm very interested in the Streamliner 900. Its tough to really hear things at NAMM.
