I know what you mean, I do get the LED light to light up on my 600 when using my 8 ohm cabs. I never feel the sound is compromised though, it continues to sound great!! I love my 600. I probably will end up getting a 4 ohm cab, but with my 8 ohm cab even 375 watts is pretty loud.

I have a 4ohm under my 600 and have never had the light flicker, I can't imagine ever pushing it that far as I am sometimes too loud now. Rock/blues/pop band.

I had the light come on at my first gig with my 600. It didn't seem to effect the tone in a bad way though.
It's not happend since, I guess Ive got the hang of the input

I'm currently driving a pair of 250 watt Beta 10's and 50-watt cone midrange drivers at 4 ohms with my 900. Based on past experience, with this much extra wattage I miiiight get away with red-lighting it momentarily once in a while, but if I do it very often, it's going to get expensive...

This is my rehearsal rig. SL600 with an Ampeg 210AV and a Precision Bass. Sounds like a mini-SVT rig. Love it!

I should have said that a little different. Light on is no problem for amp at all.

Light on could equal confetti at speaker cab if cab is rated to little for light on.

I remember from thread #6 someone found a laptop case that fit the Streamliner well.

I happen to find a Gator 12 X 12 X 5 mixer soft case for $28 at MF that I am hopping will fit the bill for my incoming used SL900.

I used a DELL laptop case and it fitted perfectly. Very well padded and a bit of room for leads etc.
The only problem i had was the fact that it said DELL on it, that could make it a target at gigs.

thats why Im rack mounting mine. A little harder to lift. I also use 2 bicycle krypto lock cable locks to lock my gear together after gigs. Yeah, a little paranoid. But, ive seen peoples gear get lifted after gig from right under their nose. I work hard for my stuff and dont need some low life taking my stuff.

come back n let us know how that Gator bag works with your 900. I actually am using a nice leather briefcase style satchel from my office work days to carry my 900 and Markbass F1 to my gigs. They each slide into inner pockets facing knobs up.

I just stand it on the front seat of my ride(s) to gigs/rehearsals. It has two small leather strap handles, slim side pockets that can hold, power cable, speaker cables, instr cable and I even carried a SM58 + 25' mic cable in it last week.

Works fine, I just get razzed by bandmates that say I look like I'm going to an office job. I also have the shoulder strap but I just one-hand it around. Oh well, its working for now but that Gator bag looks pretty nice.

For what it's worth I'm using the gigskinz small mixer bag and it's perfect for the head and a few bits but the two small pockets on the front don't hold much.

I bought this case for my STL 900 and it works perfectly. 16" Laptop Backpack, Black, SOLO STERLING Collection
There's a little slipcover case that the amp fits in and is nice and snug in the middle pocket of the bag (the picture shows a binder being put there). I'm also able to put all my cables (numerous amp and instrument cables) as well as tools and everything else. It's great.
