Couple of questions after looking at this in a little more detail.
Volume of the SLT is obviously smaller, and the internal shape/angles is/are different. Does that have an impact on the tonal character of the cab compared to the standard 12-3?
The leads-through-the-handle trick is neat but won't work with the SLT at the bottom. Is the friction really enough to keep a head like the Magellan stably on the stack?

Far more similar than different. More on this in my review!
As I mentioned, above, the new BA12-3 (non-slanted version) will get the same recessed top-mount handle.

Unfortunately that doesn't help the early adaptors ... .
And "far more similar than different" to me indicates it's not identical. I'm sure it wouldn't make a difference in a live situation where it's more important to hear yourself properly (which the standard 12-3s take care of very nicely, thank you very much), just being a little "academic" here.

....unseen and unheard, I'll happily wager that if the drivers are the same, no blindfolded listener will be able to reliably differentiate new from old from 10 feet away......on another note, a recessed top handle is a welcome upgrade IMHO.

Michael, The internal volume is less rhan 10% difference, so freq response wise is essenually the same. The difference is in projection towards the player. The SLT does sound brighter at closer distances. The SLT is a great match with a straight cab.
And about the feet on your MG 800, using a single SLT cab on the bottom with your early BA12-3 on top, your amp will stay in place.

I honestly figured this would be the direction jeff would go. It just makes so much sense. The 10-2 was so well received...
It's the way I would have done it. Followed by a 210-3 slant around may .
I'm totally going to pick one of these up this spring (if I had the cash now... It would already be ordered)
When Jeff told me about the slant 12 I tried to get him to make a 210 that would basically be what a pair of BA10-2’s stacked is now but in a single cab. That with the bracket for a MG350 would be my ideal combo.
I used my rig today at church for a funeral (no FOH) today and I think - as nice as headroom is - I have too much amp. I have yet to turn it past 10 o’clock on the master and the cab is a little larger than I’m used to.
I think my ideal is a vertical 210 cab with a small head mounted to the top. There was a Genz Benz Shuttle 210 combo that is exactly what I want...just an updated Genzler version.

Yeah I was thinking more like the side by side 210 he already makes. There is already a slanted 10-2 you can stack to get what you want.
If you must have it in one carry - a couple of steel brackets (in black) and a few screws....

I'm not sure that would be loud enough...
I have a pair of these slants incoming tomorrow and will try out all the amp combinations as well. The biggest advantage I see is the ability to hear better - which is a big issue which with one cab I have used a stand to solve. Now no need! Though there would be a standing waves advantage; it being less of an issue with the multi-angle.

I do not have this image ar this time. The 3 pc stack on our website is a Slant/Straight/Slant so you can imagine how much more arc you can get.
Ill work on getting that pic.
????? There is no such thing as too much amp! That's why we have gain and volume controls...
