Also must say I love the feature set. Got my toddler to bed and now am sitting on the couch with SBL on my iPad plugged into my head, practicing through headphones.

Question for Jeff along these lines. What does the amp do to stereo aux ins when using the speaker output? I tried that the other day and it was like I was only getting one side of the stereo channel.

At the time I had one cab plugged into the speakon jack and the other daisy chained with a 1/4" speaker cable. If I ran a second speakon out of the back of the amp direct to the 2nd cab, would the amp do both L&R of the aux in to the two cabs?

From the manual

AUX IN – A 1/4” stereo line level auxiliary input is provided that sums directly to the main output bus controlled by the master volume control. This input is ideal for practicing with recorded tracks from a CD player, IPOD, or MP-3 player. This input is a tip-ring-sleeve type jack with built-in summing resistors that sum left and right signals when used with a stereo cable. This input will also work with a mono tip-sleeve plug. Adjust the level of the playback source to balance with the bass guitar’s volume.

The amp isn’t stereo, so you won’t get left and right seperation by using both speakon jacks, it’ll just merge them into a mono signal through both speaker outs. I belive the headphone out is stereo though...

I love my two 1x12's. With my MG800 in a gig back on my shoulder, and my Warwick in a gig bag with the cables enclosed, the total weight on my back/shoulders is less than 20 pounds. A 30lb cab in each hand and I can do a one trip load of loud, flexible, great sounding mini rig of doom all on my own. Feels great.

That is what I do with my 12's. I was joking about the silicone of two 10's and agree that, to me, it is easier to carry a single 12. One problem with a single 12 that the two 10's solves, though, is the angle for hearing. And I had to take a stand when using only one. The new slant should help solve that.

So today I'm leaning toward adding another BA10-2 to my MG350 combo (at least until I change my mind again tomorrow!). I like how small and light the cabs are, and the stack will get the sound closer to my ears. I usually prefer carrying two small cabs instead of one larger cab, and I have the flexibility of using only one cab in some situations.

I'm working on organizing a new band, and once I get that in place I'll add the 112 slant cab for additional oomph since I don't anticipate any PA support. That will give me plenty of options to fit a variety of venues.

@SteveC, I used to own a 3.0/110 combo - loved it. I know you now own the MG800 and BA12-3, but if it helps for future decisions, I believe that the MG350 combo is much stronger in the lows and has improved dispersion and tone all the way around.

Sorry for the delay---big snow day yesterday. As mentioned you will not get a Stereo image with your signal input into the amp but you should get both sides of the stereo signal. No part of the signal chain in the amp is stereo, so having 2 speakers connected does not make any difference. You might try a mono summing plug into the Aux In to see if you get both sides. As good as the rating was - I still feel it's low...

I think value is quite reasonable considering it's loaded with faital drivers. There isn't much in the way of better value when you consider components, build quality, tonal quality - made in north America, company support etc.all these things need to be considered in the "value equation".

I freakin’ love my 10-2. I use one every week tilted back monitor style at my church gig, usually with a little AI Clarus.

I tend to roll off some low end on my rigs so all the talk of extra booty with the 12-3 cab is a moot point. Too much low end turns into into sonic clutter for the FOH and audience.

Has anyone heard if an official cover is or will be available for the new BA12-3SLT, or for that matter the new BA12-3 with the handle on top? I can't stand the thought of dinging up a brand new Genzler cab...I know there are plenty of companies making covers, but hey, the official logo and all..

My understanding is that Genzler will be releasing covers, not available yet.

Same here. My rig gets transported a couple of times a week. I really dislike not having a cover on my cabs.

If you are impatient you may want to reach out to Larry @ LeCover. I did so thanks the recommendation of Jeff Genzler to get custom covers made for my MG112T's. Larry got back to me right away, uploaded a new product to his page based on the specs of the cab, including a free Genzler logo embroidery, and emailed me the link to where I could order them. Good price too.
