Genzler Amplification Club

I am NOT one to gear HOP.. When i find something that I Like I use it for years!!!! I get to know my gear and it becomes a part of my thing..
Like my old Genz Uber 115s.. It was maybe my FAVE 115s style cabs ever. Very vocal. NOT boomy, with great top end too.
Im SURE that I am going to LOVE the NEw 410-3.. As a 4Ω single point rig..
I've done huge gigs with only one 410 cab in the past.. With PA obviously. !
The 410-3 may be the last cab i buy in my lifetime

I totally get the UBER 115t being your favorite 115 cab ever, it is also my favorite 115 ever. But I'm not so sure the 410-3 will be the last cab you buy in your lifetime. Once Jeff Genzler introduces his brand new UBER 115-3BA, you're going to have to get it. You know it's true. :roflmao:

You may have a good point there!:)

The thing about the Uber115 .. Not only does it really sound good .. But it goes LOUD .. I rarely need the both of them..Very rarely! Almost NEVER these days..
I think it has an Eminence 3015 non LF or close variant to the 3015 non LF .. And it just moves massive amount of air if you want it too. I did MOD both of mine internally with added Cotton material.. And it made the Uber feel DEEPER, tighter and bigger and more focused mids .

I am NEVER concerned what FOH sounds like. FOH is NOT my job... And it;s beyond my control. But i am concerned about what a 5-6 foot radius from my center is doing ...That is ALL that i have control over.
I think the 410-3 will make my 5 to 6 foot radius of control even more consistent,..

What a great day!

My new Magellan 800 showed up this morning at work!......was the longest day EVER until I could get home and play!

I've got a few hours on it now, and here's my first thoughts (which sound strikingly like a lot of others).

This amp plain rocks, period, without a doubt. It moves a TON of air through my GK NEO412, I was worried that they wouldn't “play nice” together...that fear is gone, they are a great combo.

I hafta say, this is the tone I've been chasing with preamps & other tone shapers, I was able to dial in that exact tone in under 5 mins using no FX whatsoever...don't get me wrong, it sounds great with FX too, but I was curious how my bass sounded "bare"...I was not disappointed. :bassist:

I'm leaning toward Contour “A” with the knob around 11:00...but really there is no bad tone in this box.

The drive channel is a home run for me, it is far and away the best sounding “non tube” drive I've ever heard in an amp, and seems to be touch sensitive, the harder I dig, the meaner it sounds ...I know this channel is sending at least one of my drive pedals down the road.

What also surprised me was how great this amp sounds through headphones too, I've got nice headphones, and that doesn't hurt, but this amp just one up's it!

I could not be more satisfied, thanks @Jeff Genzler for such a great product, and being around to answer questions! I can't wait to gig with it Saturday!

And thanks to @bebass for the blazing fast shipping, and putting up with my incessant PM's :D

Here's a pic (forgot to snap one with the cab), I'd gladly take a club number if we're still handing them out.

@Turtle71 --- thanks for your purchase and for the shout out. And glad Bebass was helpful to you. He's a great guy and very knowledgeable but I don't like to tell him that. He has a wealth of great first hand experience. Your initial comments are on par with what players are experiencing. I would invite you to spend some time with the DRIVE channel because as you comment it does have a touch sensitive nature to the design. And the headphone circuitry is optimized so that it does represent a true representation of the amps tone.
Thanks again!!

Had my first experience "playing out" with my MG800 and 2x12s with a very loud band. The music and players, especially the drummer, play hard, all the time. "No problem keeping up" doesn't begin to describe the way my equipment worked. My only previous experience had been in fairly quiet settings or rehearsals. If anyone is on the fence about Genzler sound and quality, run don't walk. Just blows me away every time. Can't imagine an environment where my gear (not me mind you) doesn't crush it.

P.S. an "SLT" would like nice on top of those two lonely 12s wouldn't it??? Damn it Jeff...I have a kid in college!!

Same exact rig as mine, and I have also been thinking about putting an SLT on top.

I’ll take some pictures at my band’s show next Saturday.

Gig Report!

Put the MG-800 / NEO412 through it's paces last night!

Small/Med room, could probably fit 150...maybe 225 if they were close friends. :smug:

No P/A support except vocals :banghead: (fairly new venue, with live music not being the priority yet). I ran the Pre at about 11:00 and the volume at about Noon (EQ reasonably flat, contour "A" at about 2:00)...I believe this created some damage inducing SPL's. :D

This beast took an hour of solid hammering, and to the touch, the chassis wasn't even warm. o_O

This little box of awesome received a nick name last night (courtesy of a bass player friend in the audience)...It will henceforth be known as "Wonder Thunder". :)

....I think I'm gonna dig this amp.

So here's a question/poll...what is the ideal (or your) bass array 12-3 three-cabinet combo? Please answer like this...

Pics would be great and any thoughts as to why it's best, or if it matters beyond the aesthetics of the stack. Excited to hear what you have to say.
