You could put a a package together and market it as an “Advanced Acoustical Wave Home Demolition Device”.
For anyone wondering... Yes the Magellan plays nicely with other speaker cabinets, and with a variety of basses. Very quick adjustments to different room acoustics. I have my small room and large room speakers. Sometimes using only one of the 12/6 cabinets. [The second makes a convenient stand].
After approximately 2 years of flawless and frequent use, I am getting some static traced to the master volume control [almost never used above 11:00]. I am wondering what the best tuner cleaner for that would be?

Caig DeoxIT D5. Use a very small amount and don't spray it down the shaft. Open up the amp, find the pot and spray a small amount in an opening on the body of the pot. You can also try just rotating the pot 10 or 15 times through it's full range.

This weeks rig. same as always. But I played my Fender with Flats.. I needed to really boost the TREBLE then 3k on the mids.
That's an interesting EQ setting you have there in those pics. I've never seen anyone crank theHigh mids and highs that much.

I was playing my late 60s P bass.. with Flats.. Its a bid on the dark side.. Not EBO type dark though. But without that HIGH Boost it would have been mud. My passive Jazz basses get almost FLAT-ish with a slight Bass boost 95% of the time
Oh...I understand that as I've had basses like that. Good thing about Genzler heads and cabs is the EQ is usable just about no matter the settings. Hard to get a bad sound out of it.

Yes they do. Love my TI Jazz flats...
But if the bass tone you're looking for is brighter... TI's are flats with a high mid presence and tapes sound almost like rounds though the nylon takes a little getting used to.
Most guys running a P with flats are looking for the thud tone and don't drive up the sparkle and growl.

No .. I'm NOT looking for the thud tone.. I can do that by palm mute or FOAM ..
I like the CHROMES for flats. They are bright and have some ring to them.I find them to be even from string to string.. I like the feel of them over the TI flats that i have used years ago.
Plus TIs are way too expensive for my mind. TI are $$$. ... Since I change flats fairly often....i gig and travel alot..But im FRUGAL ( not cheap) . HA
I've done metal records with new Chromes and even some country sessions..
For Round wounds, its DR High Beams or LoRiders on all my other basses .
My Hofner now has low tension Labellas and they are real nice for my uses. I haven't tried anything else on that bass and honestly it's fine the way it is. DEF has that Paul Mccartney thing.
That specific 69 P bass is very warm and the flats on it are about 3 months old with about 50 shows on them . So they are getting darker,hence the treble boost and 3 k .

I can agree here with Loring.
I don't usually set the input gain hot enough to drive the preamp Clip LED to illuminate. I set it in the 11 - noon range (even my Sadowsky won't clip the front end) and then I set the Master to desired volume. I've told Roger he should rate those dang preamps in Horsepower. My normal setting is to keep the GAIN and MASTER controls in the same "ballpark" range. Unless setting the DRIVE channel GAIN, I usually don't set the GAIN setting higher than the Master. But that's just me.
I usually set the Input Gain to where it starts flashing when I hit the notes hard and then back off a smidge. Adjust Master Volume to just slightly louder than the guitar player likes.
You may try using a bit of the drive channel to add a bit of bite/grit. You keep the thick lows while adding a bit of texture to the mids and highs.

I mean, seriously.....If the guitarist thinks you’re a little too loud you're probably just about perfect volume.

I'm pretty lucky. My guitarist actually likes to hear the bass which I am more than happy to oblige.
This coming Tuesday I am ordering my new Genzler rig. Magellan 800 and two 1x10 cabs. I'm looking to see if anyone in the collective plays country? I'll be using a Fodera Monarch with D'Addario NY/XL's. This is my third rig in 6 years. I did have a Mesa 1x12 combo, didn't like it, added a matching 4x10 and that helped some but still not the sound I wanted. Then I went with a Hartke LH1000 with a HyDrive 4x10. This rig has served me well but it's so darned heavy. I do get to play a few rock songs and want the flexibility of the 800's drive channel to add a bit of grit. So, if there are any country players in the house what settings have worked for you?

Running two 12's and the new PJ is definitely causing issues with both my guitar and keyboard player. Set up at Drums N Flats on Avenue Rd, had everything in the front of house, set all the levels and had a buddy who's a trained sound guy stand back near the bar help me adjust the levels. My Genzler was just past 1/4 volume. Perfect front of house mix, reasonable stage volume, complaints galore from those two about my bass volume.
Checked with a few friends in the crowd who I trust they thought the mix was bang on!
I'm thinking of just going back to a single BA12-3 SLT for mid size rooms.
