Yes, we do use a High Pass Filter with the Magellan amps. It is set a little lower than 30 Hz but is a complex filter that really cleans up the sub sonic information and keeps it all tight and right.

I can fit all my cables in the little outside pocket, but that’s about it. And I typically use very small cables, 1x12’ guitar cable, short power cable, and 2x3’ speakons.

Thanks! I find that I need to carry a little more stuff, and found that a standard size plane carry-on with wheels is just the right size.

There is a zipper front pocket than can hold 2 speaker cables and the AC cable .. Ill bet i can slide my Ipad into the section with the amp too.. Haven't tried that yet but i will..

Well, I have lived with my Magellan 350 combo and BA10-2 for awhile and have grown more and more impressed with its capabilities. When I first got them, I was just tooling around inside a medium room to see what I could get out of the setup after having my Shuttle 10t with 10t extension cabinet for several years. Easily both louder and deeper than my Shuttle. Using my SB-2 with TI flats (an admittedly hot output bass for a passive), with gain around noon and master about the same, with eq flat and contour A at about 10 o'clock, it seemed as though the speakers were farting out. I called Jeff...I cannot tell you how patient and kind this man is...and we tried different combinations...I even plugged into a pair of my GS112s...but the issue remained. I tried my MG800 into the BA10-2s and it was totally clean. Jeff kindly sent me a new head...same issue. I went outside to minimize sympathetic vibrations, which did help. Jeff had gotten back to me and figured that I was simply running out of clean power at the amp end (the clip light had never lit up). I began to wonder how Steve C used just the combo on his gigs...I took the pair to a friend's studio for a jam with three guitars, keys, harmonica, drums and vocals through a PA. I was concerned that I wouldn't be heard. I actually heard myself just fine...the Bass Array cabs really do help a lot. It wasn't until I heard a video of that night that I realized the bass was overbearing in that room (about the size of a small bar gig). Back home again, I went into a larger room and stood behind just the combo...and I could not believe the volume and bottom end that I heard standing behind it! By this time I realized that the little sucker was a lot louder than I thought--especially if it was that loud standing behind it, and I had simply missed that point when I had noodled around with it at first...going out about 25 feet in front of the combo with reduced settings, the sound all came together in a way that I couldn't perceive standing right in front of it...loud, deep...full and clear. The next jam night...same place, same guilty parties, I brought the stack, but just connected the bottom Bass Array. The drummer said he could hear just fine, as did everyone else. From my point right in front of the combo, I could hear myself, but I didn't know how it balanced out with everyone else playing. Again, video demonstrated that the bass was solid in the mix...and still, a little overbearing. I was amazed and pleased at the same time.
Yup, this thing is way more competent than I had hoped for and I could see it covering a lot of gigging scenarios in the future...Steve...I'm a believer!

I find that with the BA cabs, because of the dispersion characteristics, it is better to get them off the floor and pointed towards my head. The issue is less critical with the slanted cabs - the BA10-2 & 12-3SLT - but even with the BA10-2, I find it true to some extent. Because the dispersion favors the horizontal rather than the vertical, if I stand close to the cab, it sounds to me as if the mids and highs go right past me. If I get the cab up a bit, suddenly everything falls into place and I can hear the entire spectrum.

I’ve been using a laptop backpack for years, which is perfect because the MG800 fits right into the laptop section, and I can carry all of my speaker cables, patch cables, power strips, earplugs, footswitch, spare strings, and pretty much anything I need in that bag.

Can put a zoom b3n in there plus cables.
I put a 25 foot cable 2 3ft speaking a 1/4 speaker cable and the ad cord

I got three 10 foot cables, two are used one is a backup.
Two 3 foot speaker cables.
One Korg Pitchblack Advance tuner pedal that is placed in the circular void in the middle of the cables.
And the power cable that came with the amp on the left.

No crazy bulge, it zips smooth.

Though when you sit it down vertically on its bottom feet it is front pouch heavy so it will tip forward. Always angle it, set it with the Genzler logo against something or lay it on its side to prevent tipping.
The tipping is the only complaint.

The holes that the strap connects to are large and a strong piece of metal. So I inserted these large 18 inch rubber twist ties through them and it holds my 20ft extension cable neatly on the side, an extra mic cable or small bass stand on the other side if needed.

Here you can see the extension cord tied neatly to the outside of the bag behind my right arm.

Right, I think both bags can carry about the same amount of stuff, maybe mine a little more with the outside pouches and beer/water/drink holder! I really like the option to pull it along on its wheels and they (i have two) were free from my wife's job, which is the real reason I opted to use it. I can even put my FretRest bass stand in it as well. My 800 is in another padded bag that I put inside the carry-on.

Yeah, I feel like I have like a dozen adapters in various pockets and bags around my jam space ;D

Thankfully I did find a couple jack adapters and it works great! The only thing that I noticed that is disappointing is when I have my headsets plugged in, it doesn’t mute the speakers, which is the whole intention of wearing headsets for quiet rehearsals. Anyone else?

But seriously, the headphone out on the Magellan is saving my marriage! I use it exclusively when practicing at home now. ear buds for music device on first, then the cans for the Magellan. I'm sure I could experiment with the Aux in, but this setup just works for me. Maybe not elegant, but exactly what I need.

No problem there, just a lot of gig miles on it and figured it was a time for a chance. Well, first song in and – hot damn! – I'm smiling like a kid in a candy store! Deep, full and articulate. Plays nice with my pedals and sounds great straight up, too. Whadda amp. Even the guitar player immediately noticed a difference and asked what was new with my setup. Just wish I would have snapped a pic last night, sorry guys.

Great job, Mr. Genzler. Another happy customer! Now to replace my 2 Rumble 2x10s with 2 Genzler 12-3s...
